message 601: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "I know that." She said, her voice serious as she straightened up. "I learned that lesson this last time." She knew it was dangerous but was going to risk it, glad that he had agreed and was letting her join back up.

message 602: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame nodded absentmindedly, still astonished that she would want to join again. He turned his attention to the line of pirates infront of him, all waiting to try and get onto his ship. Jame had a good name in the pirate world, and because he was young, he held promise.

message 603: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She let out a relieved breath, moving out of the way so the next person could talk to him. She went over to the bar. Ordering a drink while she was here.

message 604: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((skip to when they embark again? Or do you want them to get into trouble at the bar?))

message 605: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((Either way works. Did you have an idea?))

message 606: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((not really. Just thinking. They could get in a fight or something. It doesn't have to happen, I was just wondering about ideas to delay them))

message 607: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((had to go again...ghosting now. and I say lets give them a break this time.))

message 608: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((kk sounds good.))

Jame had walked back aboard his ship, and was in his cabin. Each of his new crew was supposed to report to him before they got to work, and he was waiting for everyone so that he could set sail.

message 609: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Adella was one of the first few back on board. The had a Fey things that she needed to ask Jame. What were they going to do about her secret? Try .tk actually keep it one this time or tell everyone the truth before they found out? She didn't want a repeat of last time. And she definitely wanted .tk be on rotation fir the crow's nest.

message 610: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame looked up when Adella walked into his cabin. "Yes?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Please know that just because of circumstances doesn't mean that I'm going to treat you any different from the rest of the crew. Neither are you allowed more privileges. Mostly for your safety." He said seriously. "The biggest problem we have is if the crew gets jealous."

message 611: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) back to this again? "Said before I don't want to be treated differently. I just don't want a repeat of what happened when people found out last time. How should we handle that? Let them all know from the getgo?" She really wasn't sure, and in this would like his help and advice.

message 612: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose, a long slow huff escaping his body. "Yes." He said finally. "It really is our only option. I can't lie to them." He said, sighing. He looked up at her. "Which means you will get some interest."

message 613: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She just gave one nod. Hoping that this would work. that they would leave her alone this time. "When should we tell them..."

message 614: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame ruffled through a couple of the maps on his desk. "when they are all gathered before boarding. Don't bother hiding it as they get on. They'll notice, and we can explain why then."

message 615: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She gave him a nod, her heart pounding a bit. She was nervous about this and just hoped it worked out. She took a breath as she headed back onto the deck to wait.

message 616: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((Can you play some of the crew as well?))

Men started to file on board, some of them whispering among themselves as they passed Adella, many of them with a curious expression on their faces.

Jame stood in the doorway to his cabin, waiting, making sure that no one tried anything funny.

message 617: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((sure.))

Adella felt weird not trying to hide what she was but was trying not to show how nervous she was at the moment. This would be better than them finding out on their own....

Todd, shor a curious glance at her as he boarded, moving over to a couple of his buddies that he'd sailed with before who'd also signed up. "What do you think this is all about?" He muttered to them.

message 618: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365)

message 619: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jeff shook his head. "Not sure..." His eyes swept over Adella. "Why doesn't the captain let her on? A woman on board is bad luck."

Jame ignored the talk outside, and kept his attention on the water instead. He would set sail soon. Those who were late, were left behind.

message 620: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Todd nodded in agreement. "Hope we get an explanation...A woman onboard is just unnatural."

Adella threw a quick glance in Jame's direction. She was hoping they left soon. She wanted to get out there. Get to work and avoid all these looks.

message 621: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame walked up to the top deck and leaned on the railing, over looking the other sailors. "Ho!" He shouted. "Everyone. Welcome aboard. As you know. There is a woman in our crew. She is to be treated with respect, as one of us. Any misbehaving will be dealt with accordingly." He said, glaring down some of the crew members who had smirks on their faces. "Set sail! We leave now!"

message 622: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She shot glares at a few of them as well who were looking their way. At least they knew the truth from the getgo now and she just hoped that that would make things easier for them all. As soon as he gave the order to set sail she climbed up to the crow's nest. She'd never get tired of this.

message 623: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((Where to first? I have no idea what to make the hiding place for the next key :P ))

message 624: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((Hmm....Maybe another island but when they get there this one had some native tribe or something guarding it?))

message 625: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((So like, indians? Or maybe cannibals? ps. I'm back now, lol))

message 626: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((And I'm just now getting to these.....cannibals could be fun. >:D))

message 627: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((ok. Sounds good. Should we skip to when they arrive there? or rp out sailing abit?))

message 628: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((rp sailing a bit. Should they run into any trouble?))

message 629: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ((Idk. guess we'll see how it goes.))

Jame sat at his desk, studying a map carefully. It was half finished, the left out parts uncharted waters. He sat with a quill in his hand, slowly inking out the landmarks they had come across so far.

message 630: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Adella was just coming down from her shift on the crow's nest, stretching a bit. Things had been going good so far. Sure they hadn't been out long but no one was mobbing her like last time at least, even though they did know her secret. It was good to be able to relax a bit.

message 631: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame continued to sketch his map, just thinking about the trip ahead and his crew. Oh his crew... that was another issue. They were all good men. Young men like himself. But... Adella was not a man. And that created issues. Not for his crew, but for his own focus.

message 632: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She leaned over the railing as she just watched the ocean now, lost in her own thoughts. She wanted to stay on the sea forever. This was the life for her. Later she'd ask Jame if she could just have a permanent position in the crew. She didn't want to go back on land to live. She didn't have any family anyway. No one to miss her.

message 633: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame couldn't think. He dumped his pen on his desk in annoyance and walked out of his cabin slowly. He walked to the top deck and looked out at sea, scanning for any signs of land.

message 634: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She looked up when she heard the door shut, seeing him she figured maybe now would be a good time to ask. "Sir?" She said as she came up to the top deck where he was. "there's something I want to ask you."

message 635: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame looked over at her and managed a small half smile. Oh yes. She was an issue. He couldn't think straight when she was around. She was an amazing issue. "Yes?" He asked.

message 636: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She let out a breath. "I was hoping I could ask to have a permanent position on board. I love the sea and don't ever want to go back. Ever. I'll sign up again and again if I have to but I want to stay on this ship."

message 637: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame bit his lip and turned to face her. "Do you not have anything worth living for back on land?" He asked gently, his eyes laced with concern. If she wished to stay, he would let her, but he wanted to know her reasons. Was she running from something?

message 638: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She crossed her arms, meeting his gaze. "I've told you my story before remember. The only family I knew is dead. I don't have anything back there. I was just trying to get away from the past the first time I signed up for your crew but found out just how much I love the sea. I want to stay."

message 639: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365)

message 640: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame sighed, fiddling with his earring. He thought about it for a moment, before nodding slowly. "Yeah. You can stay." He smiled gently at her.

message 641: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) A grin lit up her face. "Thank you." She said, relieved that she could stay on the ship for good

message 642: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame nodded, biting his lip. "I was... was kind of hoping you might ask to stay..." He said honestly. He looked up at her again. "I don't want you to be unhappy though."

message 643: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "Really?" She said, a bit surprised. "and why would I be unhappy? I wouldn't feel at home on land anymore. I want to be out here. I belong at sea."

message 644: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame raised his hands in the air. "I just had to make sure." He said. "I worry about you. I can't control my crew as much as I would like to think that I do." He said honestly, sighing.

message 645: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She bit her lip for a moment before saying. "Well...Thank you. and it's going better this time at least." Sure they hadn't been out a sea that long but they knew her secret and were leaving her alone.

message 646: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame nodded in agreement. "I just hope the sea doesn't get to them." He said honestly. "You may want to sleep somewhere separate from them as time wears on." He suggested.

message 647: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She nodded, glancing around the ship. "I guess when the weathers good at least I can sleep in the crow's nest." She didn't know what she would do otherwise.

message 648: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame nodded. "Or in the hull." he offered. "The cook may let you use the kitchen as well." he suggested. "I would offer my cabin but... then the other would think that we were.... well. They would get jealous."

message 649: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Her cheeks reddened a bit at the last part and she nodded. "Yeah...I can't see that going over well with the rest of the crew. But I might try the kitchen when it's raining, otherwise I wouldn't mind being on deck."

message 650: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Jame sighed softly, nodding. "Alright." He agreed. He gave her an encouraging smile and looked back out over the ocean. "We should reach the next island by dawn tomorrow." He said, somewhat to her, somewhat to himself.
