I can't get on board with Mr. Sparkles. Twilight makes me shudder in horror that the book was ever sent to print(My jealousy on parade). Give me Vlad Dracul or his pale and distant cousin, Barlow. You know, actual scary vampires.
As Americans in the year 2014, a warning about graphic violence and sexual situations in a zombie novel would seem completely misplaced and yet I still have complaints!
Warning: In this novel there is violence; both zombie on human, and human on human. There are also some sexual situations. Read at your own risk!
I also need to warn people with preconceived notions. The Apocalypse is not about an ex-Navy Seal with a fallout shelter filled with canned goods, MREs, and a personal arsenal rivaling an infantry battalion. Sorry. Instead this novel is about real people, some of whom stay alive by their wits, or by their strength, or their speed. Some are just plain lucky and some are ruthless, making decisions based on the necessity of survival. Quite a few are downright evil. Yes, with the complete breakdown of civilization, evil will flourish!
And these people, both the good and the bad are represented by every race and every creed.
If you are the kind of person who is easily offended you may not like The Apocalypse, because in it, some of the characters are mean to each other. I would suggest an alternate book, perhaps Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. It’s about sparkly vampires.
