Read away and enjoy, feel free to leave some feedback no spoilers please.

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) I've just started book two and I believe McCammon has just pulled off the best introduction of a new character in a book ever! It started chapters ago and, well, lets just say I am at the point where the ship pulls in and.... it's great!

"She only dropped the soap!"

The first book was so dad-blasted serious. This, the second one is better than the first. He's coupled that heavy handed serious tone with a wonderfully light humours thread. I am enjoying this so far!

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) (sorry for being late... just had to say something)

You're right, there is great underlying humor running throughout The Queen of Bedlam!

It's also "intelligent" humor not just sillyness. Even the name "The QUEEN of Bedlam"... boy, there are a lot of people and ways that has meaning.

Of course, I'm still chuckling about the introduction of Berryl Grigsby. "She only Dropped the SOAP!"

The Pirate Ghost (Formerly known as the Curmudgeon) (pirateghost) and at 55% Berry, she goes by Berry now, shows up and, very intellignetly, McCammon telegraphs the coming madness.

Hilarious. "One man's ceiling is another man's floor."

And the Pig saw it all coming!

just a fun story.
