Nailil (nellah) My 2 cents:
- a book from a genre you never/rarely read
- a book published on the year you were born
- an award-winning book
- a self-published book

I like these, especially the self-published :) the one from the year you were born is one of the 2015 prompts which is why I didn't include it originally, but it's a great one for people who didn't do the 2015 challenge!

Clare (-clare-) I think the only prompt i'm adding will be Epistolary Fiction. I have 9 books on my TBR list that fit into this category and it's about time I read some.

-Epistolary Fiction Fictional tales told through letters, emails, diary entries, etc.

your welcome

Nadine Jones I'm planning to read a book from an author from each continent - I'm trying to add even more diversity to my reading and I think this will help!

I was thinking about doing one like "2 books with the same noun in the title" like the girl on the train and the orphan train or orange is the new black and a clockwork orange. I just think it would be a fun one :)

Leanne | 9 comments I just found this great list!

Joellen (jojoellen) | 2 comments i am going to try again. i made it to 31 books this year. I had a goal of two books a month. So now I think I will go for a book a week, but not if it stresses me out. Sometimes a book is just too good to try and finish super fast, where others take two days. joellen

Nadine Jones Last year at this time I was so excited to read The Girl on the Train; why am I not seeing articles about exciting books due in 2016, like I must have been seeing last year, if I was excited about a book due in the next year?

I'm adding one to my challenge "give an author a second chance" so a book by an author I've read but didn't like :) I think I'll go with the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy because I read the second in the series and I don't think skipping the first is really fair lol

message 15: by Nadine (new)

Nadine Jones Tara that's a great category idea - there are so many authors I read once and disliked, but everyone else loves them

message 16: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (shannoneke) | 1 comments I plan to pick a lot of books I know nothing about this year. I get a lot of my books in thrift shops and such, so it's easy to find books you've never even heard of. I did that a lot for 2015 and ended up loving a lot of my picks and discovering that I really enjoy memoirs! I'm bound to find some crappy one, but when they are only 1.50$ a book or less, it doesn't sting as much!
