Tinker bell | 28345 comments Raine laughed softly as she followed him to the car. Se smiled her thanks to him for helping her get into the car. The princess looked over at him and shrugged," Somewhere I can get out of this dress," she answered softly

E.j. | 157 comments Alex nodded. "I think I know just the place." Alex said. The drive only lasted an hour, but Alex wasn't sure what to talk about to fill the silence. A realization struck him halfway into the drive. "We're man and wife now." He said not looking at Raine. He wasn't embarrassed to say it though. The words held more of his astonishment at the fact than shyness.

Tinker bell | 28345 comments Rained smiled just a little," Alright I am one with where ever." She sighed softly and leaned her shoulder in the door not sure what to say now. Raine looked over at him and nodded," Yes I suppose we are now." She answered softly not really shy of thinking of it now

Alex didn't know what else to say now, so they made the rest of the drive in silence taking in the scenery. When Alex pulled into his family's summer home, He was happy that his parents had decided to keep it. It was the perfect place for them to be. The cottage like house was one story, but it had a large enough layout that it didn't seem cramped. There were three bedrooms and a garden his mother loved. The location was perfect too. It was secluded from the main road and hidden by thick woods. The interior was decorated in a warm cabin-like way. It just seemed like a homey place for them. Alex hopped out of the car and opened Raine's door for her. "What do you think?" he asked Raine.

Tinker bell | 28345 comments ((It's totally fine))

Raine sighed and looked out the window as he drove. She wasn't sure where they were going, but she didn't really care. The silence didn't bother her too much. Raine was comfortable with him and was glad that they had gotten away from all of the finery of their wonderful wedding. She smiled a little seeing where they were going. She looked up at him and got out of the car, "I think it's perfect." She replied looking around it really was perfect and a place their parents may not look for them

"I'm glad you like it." Alex beamed. "I don't know how long we'll be able to stay here, but it has food and beds and a roof. I think we'll be fine. Alex unlocked the door to the house with a key on his key ring and stepped into the air conditioned house.

Tinker bell | 28345 comments Raine smiled up at him, "Even if it's just for a few hours.. I don't care." She said. She followed him into the house, "do you come here often?" the princess asked

E.j. | 157 comments "I used to basically live here in the summers when I was a kid. We haven't been here in years. I don't know that mom and dad even remember it. Do you have a summer home like this?" he asked her as he turned on the lights to illuminate the living room.

message 109: by Tinker bell (new)

Tinker bell | 28345 comments She smiled and looked around the living room. "Well I like it here.. We should use it when we want to get away from our parents." she said softly looking back at him. The princess sighed softly, "No we don't have a summer house. But we have one out in the country that my parents kept for me."

E.j. | 157 comments Alex nodded. "We'll, we can stay here as long as we want. The staff keeps the place up and makes sure it's always stocked." He said. "I think there are some extra clothes in a chest in the guest bedroom if you want to change. Some of my sister's old things might fit you. I'm going to get out of this tux." Alex said as he took off his jacket and made his way to his old bedroom in the house.

Tinker bell | 28345 comments Raine nodded a little," Okay, but I really do like this place. " She said softly," okay I'm sure I'll be alright." She answered heading off to change out of the dress she was in. Raine had already kicked her heels off before she was too much into the house. She walked into the guest room and looked through the chest of clothes for something to wear

E.j. | 157 comments After changing into a pair of jeans and a soft gray v- neck tshirt, Alex came out of his room. He was extremely thankful to be out of that tux. He flopped down on the big couch in the den and breathed a sigh of relief. It was over, and everything was fine. They'd be fine. It didn't have to be weird. Alex looked around for the remote and turned on the tv.

Tinker bell | 28345 comments Raine forgot about the few buttons on the back of her dress she sighed softly. The princess walked back out of the room after finding a pair of stretchy black pants and a purple shirt and laid them on the bed. She looked around for Alex, then just decided to follow the sound of the tv. Once she found him, she stood behind the couch, "Hey Alex could you help me?" she asked softly

E.j. | 157 comments Alex turned to see Raine. "Sure." He said while standing up. " With what?"

Tinker bell | 28345 comments ((I'm so sorry I thought it was your turn))

Raine turned a little," Mother insisted on having tiny buttons down the back of this dress." She said softly," So if you could just help me get them undone?" She asked

E.j. | 157 comments ((It's absolutely no problem! :) I've been so busy, I wouldn't have seen it anyways!))

Alex walked over and stood behind Raine so he could undo the buttons. As his hands moved further down her back undoing each tiny button, he felt his hands start to shake a little. He didn't know why he was nervous. He didn't even know if that was the right word to describe it. He paused for just a moment to regain steadiness in his hands. He noticed how well the dress hugged Raine, accenting the delicate curve of her back. Alex felt himself blush and shook the thought from his mind before undoing the rest of Raine's buttons. "All done." he said. It came out softer than he's meant for it to, so it was almost a whisper. He couldn't think of anything else to do but look at the ground. "Is that all you need?" he asked after finding his voice more.

Tinker bell | 28345 comments ((I understand the feeling :) so don't worry that's why I didn't reply until tonight))

Rains stood still as Alex undid all of the tiny buttons down the back of her dress. She had one arm across her body to hold the dress to her only blushing slightly as she thought of how tight her dress was. She could feel his fingers moving down her back and it caused her to blush even more. Her and Alex had tried to avoid talking about their wedding as much as they could but that was over and now they would have to figure out how to live with each other. "Thank you." She said softly once he was done," I don't think so.. But I'll be right back." She said looking at him over her shoulder then walking back to the guest room to finish changing and taking her hair out of the intricate updo she had.

E.j. | 157 comments Alex watched as Raine went back into the guest room. He stood where he was and rubbed the back of his neck with his hand. This wasn't going to work. He was going to have to figure out some way to get over feeling like a little kid every time Raine asked him to do something like that. She was his wife now, and he was her husband. He was going to have to accept that this was how married life was going to be. He looked out the window and was surprised to see the sun going down. Then he had a fleeting moment of panic. What were they going to do about sleeping arrangements? The panic passed as Alex reassured himself that he'd let Raine make that decision. There were tons of rooms in the house. He was being stupid freaking out about something like that. He sat down on the couch and closed his eyes as he listened to the tv.

message 119: by Tinker bell (new)

Tinker bell | 28345 comments Rains took her dress off and carefully laid it on the bed no matter his much she didn't like it. She wasn't about to ruin it. She changed quickly and took most of her hair out of the updo her mother had insisted on. She said softly and looked around. She could stay there forever and be fine with it. The princess however looked out the window to see the setting sun. She had half a mind to see if her mom had called her yet to see where her and Alex where but decided against it as she walked back out to the den. She seriously hoped that their parents wouldn't force them to sleep together right away. But they were away from them and right now all Raine wanted to do was do nothing. So she sat down on the couch by Alex.

E.j. | 157 comments Alex opened his eyes when Raine sat down next to him. He had the tv on some cooking show he hadn't actually been watching. He noticed how tired Raine looked. "Are you hungry?" he asked with instinctive, genuine concern in his voice.

message 121: by Tinker bell (new)

Tinker bell | 28345 comments Raine sighed very softly as she sat down feeling a whole lot better. She looked over at Alex and shook her head slightly," No not right now."
She said softly. In all honesty she was exhausted and just wanted to sleep, but that could also be because she had only had breakfast at 6 that morning and hadn't eaten since.

message 122: by E.j. (new)

E.j. | 157 comments "Well, if you want something, just ask. I'll make you something with what we have here." Alex said. Even when they were friends, he'd tried to watch out for Raine. That wasn't going to change. Alex turned the tv down a little. He could tell Raine was tired. He was ready to pass out himself, so he knew she was exhausted. As the tv went to commercial, Alex tuned it out. Eventually the sounds all blended together into a low hum. Alex felt his eyes closing, but he couldn't make them stay open. As his eyes shut out the last bit of light, he forgot about everything and slipped into a much needed sleep.

message 123: by Tinker bell (new)

Tinker bell | 28345 comments "I will." Raine promised softly turning just a little to look at him. She settled back into the couch as he turned the tv down. She wasn't about to move now she was comfortable and she didn't want to disturb that. As the tv drone on Raine was lulled to sleep not even seeing that Alex had also fallen asleep next to her. Her last thought was I bet most couples wouldn't be the way we are on their wedding night.

message 124: by E.j. (new)

E.j. | 157 comments Alex slept better that night than he had in weeks. It must have been around nine in the morning when he finally woke up. He was drowsy and still partially asleep when he felt the sensation of warmth on his right shoulder. He turned his head to see Raine next to him. Her head was on his shoulder, and she was asleep. At some point while they were asleep, they'd moved toward each other for warmth, Alex guessed. He didn't know what to do. He didn't want to wake Raine up, but he didn't know if he should stay there. Looking down, slightly, he found that his hand was resting on hers. He moved it slowly. He didn't want to get up, and he didn't want to wake Raine, so he decided to stay. He tried to position his head so that it was comfortable, but every way he tried just made him sore. Finally, he gave in and gently allowed his head to rest slightly against Raine's like it had been when he'd woken up. Raine's hair smelled sweet with shampoo and perfume. Alex smiled a little before he fell back into a light sleep.

message 125: by Tinker bell (new)

Tinker bell | 28345 comments Raine slept peacefully all night and had moved only alright so she was leaning up against Alex's side. She didn't even move when he woke up and pulled his hand from hers. The princess sighed softly and shifted a little more into his side as she continued to sleep. Not having to worry about their wedding Raine was able to catch up on a few days of not sleeping at all. She woke slightly about 45 minutes after Alex, but didn't move because she was too warm and comfortable

E.j. | 157 comments Alex woke a second time about three hours later. It was one o'clock now, and Alex was starving. As carefully as he could manage, he slid his shoulder out from under Raine's head and let it rest back on the couch. Quietly he made his way to the small kitchen. He found everything he needed to make pancakes in the fridge and pantry. He was thankful to his parents for letting the staff keep the house stocked at all times for their use. He mixed up the batter and started cooking pancakes on the stove top.

message 127: by Tinker bell (new)

Tinker bell | 28345 comments Raine had fallen back asleep and stayed that way until Alex moved her. Although she didn't get up until a few minutes after he did. She had slept peacefully the whole night and seeing what time it was most of the next day. She got up and walked to her room to check her phone not that she was going to answer anyone, but she saw that her mother had called her about 45 times and she had a bunch of messages from her girlfriends asking how her night was. The princess walked into the kitchen to see Alex making pancakes
