20 - but have read at least part of 3 others (The Bible, The Canterbury Tales and The Divine Comedy) and quite a few of the others are on my TBR list.
I have read 12. I think I have 9 or 10 on my tbr list (or at least they are suppose to be) and a few I wouldn't mind adding.
I've read 11, but I thought some of the choices were a bit iffy. I enjoyed Harry Potter, but I really don't think it qualifies for a list of books I must read before I die.
I've read 22 but will never reach fifty since some of the choices are really silly. I'm sure I can live without Wind in the Willows before I pop my clogs!
Surprisingly (I'm not much of a Classics reader), I've read 17 in full and another 5 in part. I also have 13 more on my TBR.
30. I think I've read all of them that i intend to, but I may - MAY - end up reading Catcher In The Rye before I die. I'm just not all that sure I want to. Too much bad press with that one.
Only 9 of them; A few more of those I've started but ended up not finishing. And there are even more that are on my to reads list.
A disappointing 6. I can't admit to reading the whole Bible. I started Catcher in the Rye in school and took such an aversion to it within the first pages I gave up on it, praying each day my teacher wouldn't ask me any questions about it. Maybe now that I'm a few years down the line I'll give it another go.

Actually, I'd put that one on my life-is-too-short-and-I-wish-I-hadn't-wasted-time-on-these-books list. ;)

I've read 32 of them, and a bunch of the others are on my to-read list. Especially Grapes of Wrath and Ulysses, which I hope to read this year.
18. I see a few more I'd like to try. Well, one is easy: I've been saving the rest of the Harry Potter series like emergency chocolate. Not that I actually save emergency chocolate, but you get the idea.
I`ve read 13 of them. Lots on my TBR shelf. Am waiting for my library to get in a copy of The Grapes of Wrath. Have been wanting to read it for AGES
16. I actually own the bookmark, I got it for Christmas! :D
I really need to get round to reading more from that list...

20, but I've read bits and pieces of a good bunch. Actually, let me break it down . . .Read in full: 20
Read bits: 4
On TBR list: 17
Not interested: 8
Apparently one got lost in the shuffle. :P
For those thinking about Catcher in the Rye, I wouldn't bother if you're past your teen years. It's really hard to sympathize with Holden once you're past a certain age. If you want to try Salinger, Franny and Zooey will be more enjoyable. :)

I always find it funny when people say that, because I wouldn't have related to it in my teens either. :P

That's fair, although I would still recommend Franny and Zooey. Personally, I have the same issue with Wuthering Heights. I feel like I was too old (17-18) when I read it, and I would've been more taken with that portrait of love, so torturous and omg-so-wrong-it's-right, if I'd been younger.
I've read 11 and started several (like, for example, The Bible ...) and I've seen film adaptations of some. Btw. I've read one or two of the Harry Potter series, too. Does that count as read? If not (i.e. you have to read all of them), this is definitely one of the books from this list I won't read.
I have read 9, plus both the Bible and Canterbury Tales in part and Huck Finn and Gulliver's Travels in abridged/adapted form. Many more on my TBR list and a few I'm not interested in.

I'm taking credit for The Bible and Canterbury Tales because I've read most of both. I need to go back and check it out again because there was one title I'd never even heard if before!

Also Don Quixote, because I'm reading it now and halfway finished.
Unknown Title: Men Without Women by Hemingway. Seriously???

I've read 10, but have also read some first books in a series, part of the bible, part of Brave New World etc.
