Stefania Capece Iachini Hi everyone,
So the question is very simple and is addressed to everyone that has fallen in love with Mr Darcy, THE ONE FROM THE BOOK!!!
So, think about the very first time you read it. Was there a moment when you realized you loved him, or at least you wished Lizzie would fall for him?
When was it? Was there a particular moment when you realized he was the one??

Stefania Capece Iachini That's exactly what I felt, and I believe that JA wrote the novel wishing that we would feel like that, as the characters did... but still, I'm curious to see if for somebody it was different....

Maria | 94 comments Lovely question :) I thought Mr. Darcy was very disagreeable at the beginning but I was intrigued by his behaviour. Then when he said to Miss Bingley "I have been meditating on the very great pleasure which a pair of fine eyes in the face of a pretty woman can bestow", I immediately changed my mind and found him more interesting! The way he looked at Elizabeth from that moment on simply helped me to love him more! ;)

Andreea I think the first time is when he discuss with Lizzy and he somehow takes her side when she came into Bingley's house because her sister was sick...

Dia Elot | 18 comments difficult to say .. I can't lay a finger on the very first moment I loved Mr Darcy ... but I strongly believe it was the day of the ball ,not the first ball , when someone wanted Mr Darcy and lizzy to dance together and Mr Darcy wasn't unwilling to take her hand this time but lizzy withdrew *_* no words to describe what I felt

Sophie | 1458 comments He always was a mystery to me, and that is what appealed to me. We didn't know much about him for a long time and this made me think there was going to be a really interesting story and character to this man, and I liked that idea. And I was right. So I fell for him pretty quickly, and I think the quote above when he refers to Lizzy's fine eyes also had me. So for me, I fell for him pretty quickly!

Polyne Кaramagi (polinushka) “You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.”

Excerpt From: Austen, Jane. “Pride and Prejudice.”

Here is when he swept me off my feet. ❤️

Polyne Кaramagi (polinushka) Keep calm Austenites: He is a single man, of a large fortune, and in need of a wife. ;)

I'm with you, Maria! It was that moment that really did it for me, too. If I could be a character, it would, without any doubt, be Lizzie. Ah, to be Mrs. Darcy . . .

Maria | 94 comments I know right, Rachel! I wish I could be Mrs. Darcy too... :D That quote is simply wonderful and from that moment on I started to dream about him as my perfect hero! And I didn't know anything about his generosity and good heart!

Sophie | 1458 comments My perfect hero as well! To be Mrs Darcy... *sigh* no one will ever surpass Darcy for me!

Maria | 94 comments I knew you were with me, Soph! I like other heroes or other male protagonists but Darcy is incomparable!

Sophie | 1458 comments There are loads of others I love as well but none so much as Mr Darcy!

Annie (anniesmusings) | 12 comments I think it was once he started being nicer. When he met Lizzy at Pemberley. :)

QNPoohBear | 739 comments I didn't... don't hate me fellow Janeites! Darcy just isnt my ideal hero. I think he has a lot more growing to do before he can be truly happy with Elizabeth. I realized Elizabeth would fall in love with him right away. It was so obvious. Now ask when we fell in love with Captain Wentworth...
