A Dance with Dragons
question
Does no one take Baelish seriously?

Looking at a lot of the discussions everything is centered on Jon and Dany. "Who will rule?" blah blah blah.
I just think that Petyr is so overlooked that Martin would most likely do something pretty grand with him.
Looking back at Sansa's POV parts, we see Baelish involved in, what would seem to be, a lot of backhand dealings.
He was always one of my favorite characters for how cunning and clever he came off to be. While bad things were happening to everyone else, he seemed to continue to profit throughout everyone's misfortune. I am just pretty excited to see what comes of his character.
Lastly, to quote Varys, "Littlefinger is the second most devious man in the seven kingdoms."

Lord Peter Baelish is one of the most powerful characters right now: Lord of Harrenhal, Lord Paramount of the Trident, Lord Protector of the Vale and controls the (seemingly) heir of Winterfell.
This guy has a lot of power and a lot of money and is a top tier game of throne player.

He may be the most powerful man in Westeros, and his strength is in making it look like he's not. Remember what he (or was it Varys?) said about "power is where people believe it is." Petyr is good at making it look like he has no real power when in reality, he's a master at pulling the strings. Oh yea, he is running this puppet show far more than anybody realizes!
Littlefinger definitely has an agenda. I can't decide if he wants the Iron Throne for himself or if he wants to be the power behind the throne. I think poor Sansa is only a "tool" he will use to achieve his own ends, and if it serves him he will throw her to the Lions.
Nope. And they're not supposed to. That's Littlefinger's whole character. He's the guy in the background. The guy you're not supposed to pay attention to and dismiss him as not a threat. Which is interesting since right now he's getting everything he wants.
Whatever happens with him in TWoW it will be a shock.

I thinks it more a matter of people hating his double-crossing, conniving, duplicitous ass. And I think this may play into some hopes that he will suffer for all his treachery, rather than benefit from it and come through a winner in the end.
I want to see Littlefinger succeed because he's the little man who made something of himself from nothing, but I also want him to get his comeuppance for using people to became a made man
And no one suspects him except varys. All of the other players either don't think of him as a threat or they think he's in their pocket.
