Started summing up; we've all done a good job!
See above for the total; many are missin though, so we have margins to improve the total

I've also received a mail from a member - Kellie Bungarden - who couldn't find this thread; I've added her name and number of pages as well, but I've posted her the link so hopefully she'll post here as well

Updated the second post with all corrected number of pages and ... WE MADE it! We managed to read more than 20,000 pages - and someone is still missing!
Great job all of us - some has read an astonishingly high number pf pages. My total admiration to Rebecca, who managed to rea more than 4,000 pages in three days: how can you do it!?!
But we've been all good for our own part.
I was thinking of "jumping" the December Read-a-Thon: the last week end is that of Christmas, the one before is, I think, too colse to this.
What do you say to have the next one in January?

message 68: by Brooklyn (new)

Brooklyn Tayla (bookishbrooklyn) | 1082 comments That's great that hear ^_^ and as for skipping the next read a thon - I don't mind. Everyone's bound to be crazy busy towards the end of December and into the new year, naturally.

message 69: by Marina (new)

Marina (sonnenbarke) I would say we skip it and postpone it to January. I won't be able to participate in December.

I am fine with the week before Christmas.

Myst | 494 comments Either works for me.

Another thought is lower the pages read goal to 10,000 so nobody feels obliged to be unsociable.

Any time for December works for me, will probably not get reading as much as other months just because of my job but I can try.

Leslie | 16369 comments Marina wrote: "I would say we skip it and postpone it to January. I won't be able to participate in December."

This is my feeling as well. Between gift shopping & other holiday preparations, there is no real good time for me to participate this month.

message 76: by Tweedledum (new)

Tweedledum (tweedledum) | 2169 comments Wow a great total again.

Happy to jump to Jan for next Readathon or take part.... How about making December a family or household Readathon? Count how many pages all in the house read that weekend? Could that make it a social event in itself? It would be really good if it was sharing a story together...
So the aim could be less how many pages did "I" read and more were we all able to contribute something however small...
