How did you find the group?
You can also get to the Listopia lists easily by clicking the dropdown arrow beside "Explore" on the menu at the top of the page.

hi - im so thrilled there are sites such as this. I found goodreads and punched in "clean." I am in charge of finding reading material for my 93 year old friend and she reads voraciously. we don't want to risk apoplexy so I have to be careful. thanks everyone for contributing to this library.
Googled/searched for clean reads. I usually read Christian/Inspirational, but I also like to explore different authors, but the main thing I look for is not graphic sex scenes or cursing. Glad to join everyone!!
Hi everyone! :) 2 of my friends on goodreads are members of this group, Aerykah and Megan. I'm always looking for more clean reads. :) Hope everyone is having an awesome week and you have something good to read! :)
I found this group because I googled "book reviewers clean reads" and it was at the top of the list!I'm an author who is looking for more people to review my books and it seems that whenever I look up a blog tour company the books they are servicing all have half-naked people on the covers or the f word in the first sentence of the excerpt. I'm glad I'm not the last person on earth who finds this offensive. :)
As a reader, I am always looking for clean, well-written books to read and as an author I am so thrilled to find a group of people who appreciate these types of books as well! So excited to join this group!
I want to find safe books for my son plus, even for myself, I am sick of getting partway through a book and having to abandon it because it contains content I don't want to read. I got the idea of Googling "clean reads" and immediately found the group. It will be great to get recommendations from like-minded readers and to post my own. Yay!

I did a Google search for Clean Romances. I'm a Clean Romance author and am always looking for new ways to connect with readers and authors who enjoy clean stories with happy-ever-after endings.
I am so happy that I found this forum that I don't even know quite what to say. I found it in a desperate web search for clean books when I was getting ready to resign myself to rereading the books I own and know are safe for the rest of my life. Now I can finally try new books without having to fear that I'll be mortally offended and/or disturbed. It's been getting worse too as I've grown older since I'm getting pickier and the stuff aimed at my age group is getting filthier. I'm so happy that I'm not alone in wanting clean books to read!

I hope you take a look at my group... and my profile page for lots more clean titles in 'all' genres.

I found this group while adding content ratings to MyBookRatings.com (a community site for content-rating books). When I searched Book Ratings, this site came up, so I joined. I love hearing about clean reads so I can recommend them. Thanks!
There was a request in the Audible group for recommendations re: books that were safe to listen while children were present. No cursing or sex information I think. This group was suggested and I am always looking for reading that doesn't offend my upbringing, Pentecostal but not a prude at all.
I just know these books exist and they use vocabulary and storytelling skills.
Glad I found this! My debut novel, Storm Crossed, just came out March 21st and I consider it a fun, clean read. I want to read intriguing romance books that keep me hooked without all the language and sex, but not YA books either. Though I used to love my historical romances I believe I was convicted by reading them, so I set out to write something that still had most of the elements that I loved but without all the other. There are a few cuss words, but no f words or vulgar words. I would love input on this and some recommendations on some books.

I found the group in a thread by one of my fellow group mates. To clear it up I want to read clean books because well........what can I say.........Hmmm..............How about :I'm 12?
Plus it sucks when I find a really great series that gets inappropriate in the later books
I searched for it.I am so pleased to introduce you guys to my new book coming out this MAY 29th on Amazon for $2.99 only.
It’s a whole new level of another fun. Trust me!

Genlady. I assume being a genealogist you have read the Steve Robinson genealogy mystery series, which should fit your criteria.
Hi. I am M. I found the group through LDS Ladies. I am looking forward to your recommendations and hope to post a few.
Someone searched and found this group from another poster asking about "clean reads", and I stumbled upon their answer =). I actually don't mind some "unclean reads" but lately I've been craving really good books that at least don't have a lot of graphic erotic scenes.

My name is Autumn. I love to read good, clean, uplifting, well-written books of many kinds. I often read children's fantasy because it is clean.
Hello! I found this group through a Google search for clean books! I love clean reads and am so happy to have found this group. I've been wanting to borrow more books that my library owns (as opposed to getting Inter-library loans) but it can be hard to know if a certain book is clean or not so I really look forward to having the opportunity to ask if anyone has read a book and if it's clean! :D
Books by Walt Larimore are wonderful. They are about a country Doctor up in North Carolina. Titles are: Bryson City talks, Bryson City Seasons and Bryson City Secrets.n hope you enjoy them as much as I did
Autumn Rae Hickenlooper wrote: "My name is Autumn. I love to read good, clean, uplifting, well-written books of many kinds. Hi. I'm thrilled to find this group! I googled clean reads, and was led here. I really love great literature, and I understand alluding to objectionable content, but I don't want to wallow in it while reading. I appreciate the discussion! LDS SAHM is a new one to me, but that's what I am, except that I'm rarely home (taxi-ing kids is a full-time job).
I was looking for another clean reads website (turns out it is called cleanindyreads) that I had come across and this goodreads group came up in the search.I am part of a facebook group called Fellowship of Fantasy Indie book club which is a monthly book club focusing on clean fantasy stories (plus the book of the month is generally available at the start of the month free to club members - love free books!) but I am interested in clean stories in other genres as well. Looking forward to finding recommendations and being able to ask about books here.

Nicole, I hope you will take a look at my sci-fi books: Diane Rapp I write clean sci-fi, mystery, and fairy tale. Even my sci-fi battle scenes are pretty clean. I think you'd enjoy reading them.
Thorndike Press is a large print publisher. We publish all genres (including Clean Reads, Cozy mysteries, Gentle Romance and a variety of Christian Fiction). Sometimes, we work with mainstream authors who agree to clean up their novels to fit these lists. I encourage you to check out our editions -- please see if they are at your local library. They are also available for purchase through our website and other booksellers. The link below is for our Clean Reads, but you can find the other genre collections by looking for the standing order plans navigation bar (under browse products; top left of homepage).http://www.gale.com/thorndike/-/N-5pZ...
Hi everyone! I'm Claudia and I found this group while doing a Clean Read search. I'm an avid novel reader- love historical fiction/ historical romance, but it is difficult to find something well-developed and researched in the bodice-ripping genre! In high school ( a long...LONG time ago), I probably read every Victoria Holt and Barbara Cartland book available. After going through the Harlequin romance period, I ventured into Austen, De Maurier and the Bronte sisters. My friend recently came across a Cartland novel that combined Victorian themes with Argentine history/culture and threw in romance and mystery. Being from Argentina, that book was just my cup of tea :-) I'd also like to recommend, Becoming Malka as a clean read, historical fantasy. It's so unusual to find a good, clean novel with a Jewish heroine. Family values, history, finding oneself, connecting to family roots...Wonderful book!
Hi Claudia - I found the group through a search for Clean Reads on Goodreads. I try to follow many different blogs to have a better idea of what our customers want to read.

During my teens, I also read every single Victoria Holt novel I could get my hands on (my mother was an avid Victoria Holt fan). But it seems novelists such as Phyllis A Whitney, Dorothy Eden, Jane Aiken Hodge and many others, just don't have any successors. It's a pity !

She is a modern author who's books I have found to be clean. I find her writing style similar to older authors like Whitney and Mary Stewart. I would classify most of her books as historical romance.
I found this group also on a google search for clean reads. :-)

Hi Joy! Yes, I use Kids-In-Mind too! I don't watch a movie without checking there first. ;) I actually use my goodreads account to put up similar reports for books. :)
I found this by typing in "clean books" which is what I'm always searching for. I prefer reading books that have come recommended to me by people with similar standards vs hoping the best and being unpleasantly surprised by a book's content halfway in! Excited to see and participate!
