April's mini-challenge - A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words: Read a Graphic Novel

I'm reading Johnny the Homicidal Maniac for my graphic novel. It's gruesome and, quite honestly, pretty messed up, but it can be deep at some points and hilarious in others.
My Graphic Novel is True Blood (the series of them). I read The Walking Dead Graphic Novels last month just because so I figured I would pick another great series this month. I also picked up a few for my son... Drama by Telqemier and the Dumbest Idea Ever by Gownley. Hope you all have a great month with your Novels.
I fail for April, didn't pick up a graphic novel at all. I just couldn't find anything that grabbed me and said "READ ME!" lol. Hopefully May will be a little more my speed.
Wow, I have to say, I had no idea what they had turned into graphic novel form! I took my son to the book store today and he picked up several great reads, including Maximum Ride series in Graphic! I can not wait to read them myself when I get done with the few I already picked up! Also saw some of the classics in graphic novel, what a way to get the younger generation into some great books!!!
I am about to start the Jamie and Claire graphic called "The Exile" by Diana Gabaldon/Hoang Nguyen. So excited!
Julie wrote: "Is there a certain length that the graphic novel has to be?"No. I'd say, like anything else with this challenge, if you feel it is the appropriate level for you, go with it! Personally, I wouldn't count a Lunch Lady or Squish graphic novel. But everyone is different.
I finished A Game of Thrones: The Graphic Novel, Vol. 3, and it was fantastic. Now to wait forever and a day for the next one to come out.
I'll see what else I can find. The one I read, while enjoyable, was only about 30 pages, and I feel like that's not okay to count. :)
I did it! I finished Signal To Noise last night, buy Neil Gaiman. I hope it counts! It was 80 pages I think. :)

Anyway, April's mini-challenge is Graphic Novels.
I'm sure a lot of people want to know what can count as a graphic novel. The answer is pretty much anything that tells a story through the use of pictures. If a series of comics has been gathered into a book, it can absolutely count. If you want to read one of The Walking Dead books, that can count (or feel free to read the entire series and count that as one graphic novel).
Check out the group's bookshelf for some recommendations.
