Compare and contrast Faina and Garrett. How do they serve similar roles for Jack and Mabel? How are they different?

Jack desperately needed someone to help him plant his garden after his accident. Even as a very young little spit Garrett had learned some fundamentals of how to work. He really developed talents for that.

Faina is kinda of a strange bird. I noticed your question asking if we thought she was real. After Jack and Mabel lost their own child many years prior, here they make a snow girl and decorate her cute, then before we know it, there is this little girl that appears when it snowed. Jack follows her up to the mountain and finds a dead man that is her father. So ya, I guess I think she is real, strange, but real.
