Jess What do u think it said in the last envelope?

Shannon "This book is overrated"

I don't know.. it annoyed me that we never found out!

Emma Blue i thought it was a awesome twist, though I felt like I wanted to read it! I think it said: Hold on to love and never let it go, and when you run away, always come home.

Hannah I agree it makes sense to hav it say, "Hold on to love and never let it go, and when you run away, always come home." I mean, I kind of got the feeling Aunt Peg regreted not staying with richard, like she relized it was a Big mistake leaving him, and Peg wanted to make sure that Ginny should never make that mistake. Do anyone agree?

Megan No idea, but it must've been important.

Jennifer That drove me crazy!!!!!!!!!! I so wanted to know what was in that envelope!!! lol

Jennifer I kept seeing how it said book #1 but I didn't realize book #2 was out now I have to read it!!!

Kelsey Armstrong People there is a sequel to this amazing book! Check it out because it is just as great as the first! Great story, new and old characters. Definitely worth the read!! :D

Mariah I wish she would have left the book where it was. I didn't like the sequel nearly as much. It had a really good plot, but I loved the mystery of the last envelope.

asiyah I think the last envelope explained about Peg's motives for her adventures, Richard, and the deterioration of her health and sanity. I really thought this was a book that made it impossible to write a sequel, but apparently not. I kind of don't want to read it, especially if we find out what was in the last envelope. I think that should never be revealed and just be left to the reader's imagination. That marks an author as being a true genius.

712sunzida i didnt read the last envelope. but i think she finds the last book that was stolen and she follows it. becaus e in the end of the first book the last letter was stolen in a bag and she couldnt finish the expedition so i assume that she completes her expidition and thats it. I haven read it though...

Lee Ann I just finished it, it is worth the read. I enjoyed it. Ginny grows a lot in the second book.

712sunzida UGH! I DIDNT READ THE SECOND BOOK YET... EWW SO IT GETS WORSE I GUESS>..

I agree. I don't think I want to read the sequel. I think it is better left to our imaginations. After all, wasn't the whole book about possibilities and finding out what is out there. Seems to me if we find out what the last envelope said, it limits those possibilities. Also, I'm not sure I really liked Aunt Peg and the last one could be a real disappointment.

RP i love the sequel. :) it was really good...

Ana Sofía i honestly didn't love this book, and really didn't like how it set up for a sequel and left you hanging at the end.

message 26: by RP (new) - rated it 5 stars

RP Maybe there's gonna be a 3 book....

Ana Sofía i wouldn't bother to read it. I haven't read the sequel either

message 28: by RP (new) - rated it 5 stars

RP I want it :)

712sunzida Everyone wants it. Its a great book

Lol! Probably!

Carrie I just finished it and started the sequel, and I think it's really good. If you're dying to know what the 13th letter is, then read the sequel. Also, the book wasn't meant to be a series at the start, but encouragement and questions from fans made maureen do it.

Chace Somehow I was expecting that the last envelope would not be revealed because of the its content's intensity and importance that was stated on the 12th one. I still got disappointed when it actually did happen though. Also, I thought the ending was rather abrupt and disappointing. Like all the efforts (and so much complaining and whining on Ginny's part) led to the ultimate...that. Which was not the ending I was expecting. Though I think the 13th letter contained something about love and life and travel and art. Those stuff, idk I feel like the money was supposed to go somewhere much interesting than Ginny's bank account.
