Unfortunately, I cannot make it to book club this month. :( But I read Lock In, and I really enjoyed it!
This was my first Scalzi book. I've heard hit-or-miss reviews before, but after reading Lock In, I plan on at least exploring Redshirts. A Hugo cannot lead me that far astray.
I loved the perspective we received from Chris. I loved the fact that this felt real. Why? Because locked in syndrome is a real issue. I find that fascinating. But what if this does become an epidemic? I also really enjoyed the relationships all the characters had.
All in all, super entertaining. There were points where I couldn't put it down.
I look forward to hearing everyone else's reviews!
I couldn't access this book in enough time but I'm certainly going to try and get it to read, based on what everyone else is saying on these threads - hope you enjoy your book club next week and hopefully I can get on board with the next one!!
