Thirty Sunsets (ARC) by Christine Hurley Deriso - Starting April 5th 2014

Bulimics eat loads of food in one sitting, then throw it back up, or take loads of laxatives to poo it out.
Anorexics limit how much they eat to an extreme, some will eat no more than an apple a day, and they use excessive exercise to drop weight too.
Bulimics tend to be normal weight, whilst have the problem, whilst anorexics tend to be very skinny and underweight.
So bulimics eat loads then throw it up, whilst anorexics don't eat much at all.

It's to do with the person feeling that they are fat/overwieght, and is also to do with body image.
I think it's basically a psychological thing - you want to be thin, but you feel hungry so you eat and then throw it back up.
I think people feel like they're out of control when they are eating loads, and then in control when they throw it back up.
It is seen as a sort of mental health problem.
