Was manually added, has no isbn, no cover, all the details are from edits I was doing to the series. (There are several other real editions of this book already in GR.) Needs a SL, as almost 90 people have rated it.

Carolyn, I'll check but whoever added it took the time to enter the 1981 edition date, so this edition may be legitimate. Edit: publisher and number of pages (although the number is slightly suspect) too.

Yeah, it does seem to be legit. Although I think the 1981 is actually a reprinting of the 1979 edition. Looks like the lack of ISBN may be due to it being a book club printing.

Not sure why that one should be deleted. It has an ISBN.

1)The ISBN belongs to the Ebook and author has set the entry as Paperback/ebook - there are already Kindle and paperback versions.

But on second thoughts I m going to change this one to the Ebook version which gets around the deletion

We combine blank editions with all other editions of that book. That way anyone who has the to be deleted edition will still have it on their shelves when the deleted edition merges with the most popular edition.

If we delete a book that's not combined, it's permanently lost to members who'd had it shelved. So, yes, please never delete any book unless it's combined.

If it's the only edition of that book, if it's a real book, please don't delete it either; it may be a soon to be published book that doesn't have its info available yet or it might be a legitimate manually entered book where the information is unknown.

If you're unsure, you can always ask in this group and we'll figure it out together.

This case the adder had just listed it recently to sell/swap the book and there were several editions listed.

I'll definitely be combining in future before posting here, for magic to happen.

was manually listed a few months ago and Barnes & Noble recently listed a new ebook listing. There is also at least one other listing for the same book- should this one be deleted or should they both be kept? I was thinking these reviews could be merged to the B&N listing but wasn't sure?
