Please delete this book! (pt. 6)
Yes I thought it was Ralph, I remember having a quick squizz at them from his link. Very creative Ralph, how did you think to look for that?
Unless they changed the dog's name to "Maryle," this can be deleted (people added this??)http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/33...
Two books are showing up one my author page that I did not write. I cannot locate an option to removed the associate to my account. The two books listed I need disassociated are:http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/42...
and
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/71...
Thank you!
Brett, I've moved those books off of your author profile by "disambiguating" them onto this profile:http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...
Would you mind adding this text to your author bio? It can go at the end, if you want to add more of a bio than just this:
Librarian Note: There is more than one author in the GoodReads database with this name. <a href="http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/4... this thread for more information.
"Brett Williams (1) and (2)" won't actually show up on that master list for a couple of days, but once that's done it'll let people find the author they're looking for.
I'm guessing that this will be a "remove author" rather than "remove book" but I ain't done one of those yet:http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...

I have no idea what this is on about.
World Cat has the author as Heather Brewer - This is an amazon import with an incorrect author. Some one has changed the author to its current form and writen the message by looking at the audit.
This person has a private profile so it will need a GR staffer to ask why they have done the changes they have.
I have change the author on the book but left the author profile should a GR person wish to investigate (rivka :))
I found this oddity because someone had created this quiz today based on the original Brewer book.http://www.goodreads.com/quizzes/take...
may be a coincidence.
Another author delete please. This version of JRR Tolkien only had one book and a few quotes, all relating to the proper Tolkien. All moved.

Is there a delete author button that I am missing or is this the correct place?
Banjomike wrote: "Is there a delete author button that I am missing or is this the correct place?"There is no delete button, but if you change the name of an author on their profile, the profiles merge (as do their books, and I believe, fans), effectively deleting the erroneous author. The only time this doesn't work is if the author you are trying to merge into is a GR author.

Thanks.
This one also needs deletion. There's already a Kindle edition with a cover and ASIN:http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/76...
(this one doesn't have an ASIN)
thanks. It looks like this can get deleted too, looks like they just copied the info from the other edition?http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/71...
And possibly this one:http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/34...
Same publisher but a year before. I leave it to the super powers to decide.
HiThere is only one english edition of this book:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/33...
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/65...

Any ideas what to do with this?http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/69...
No info at all, other than author and the fact that it's untitled. Yay.
Could a super delete this book, please?http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/78...
Incomplete edition information, yada yada; other more complete editions already listed, blah blah.
Delete author please:http://www.goodreads.com/author/edit/...
an obviously missspelled version of 'Banana Yoshimoto'. I've moved the books (none on shelves), tidied the quotes, and checked the trivia. Yay, also I love that name.
Just checking for curiosity... that step would mean separating out all the audio versions of that book, combining them together, deleting the incomplete edition, and then combining the remaining audio editions back with the printed editions? Or do supers have a more direct route to take?

So I just skimmed down the separate page until I found an audio edition, selected that and the to-be-deleted edition, and separated them out together. Then I did have to go back to the combine page after deleting and recombine that one audio edition. It's a bit more bother, but it keeps the user from losing what little information they did put in....

Banjomike, you don't need to be a super to merge authors (not delete them) -- either any librarian can merge them, or they're GR authors and only staff can merge them.

It looks like "(untitled)" may actually be the title of that book. Let me look into it....
