SOLVED. Fiction - Young Widow, Works in Flower Shop, Possibly Set in the South, Meets a Local Man - Musician/Carpenter [s]

From what I recall (I read this book probably 10-15 years ago), the book is about a younger woman who is widowed after her farmer husband drops dead in one of their fields.

I believe she moves back to the town where she grew up and starts to work in a flower shop. She visits her aunt, and her sister-in-law is a nurse.

She meets a local man who works as a carpenter but also does music gigs locally.

I keep thinking the names are Lily and Mitch but I have no idea why. I believe the author had a few follow up novels to the main story.

The Second Coming of Lucy Hatch by Marsha Moyer seems to match your description. In addition to the GR reviews, one Amazon reviewer says the heroine gets a job in a flower shop. Lucy's husband was Mitchell.
