SOLVED. Man (or woman) working in a funeral home/crematory, possible classic? [s]

Hi! I read this book around 2012/2013 as an assignment for school. I think it is considered a classic of somewhat because the options we were given to read were all titles of classics.

From what very little info I can recall:
It was about a man or woman who worked in a funeral home. My gut is telling me it was actually a man though, and he got involved with a woman who came to visit for one reason or another. If I'm correct it might've been like a pet funeral home. I also believe there was a murder involved and that a woman's body was cremated at the place. I remember specifically that the book had the word "Cemetery" in the title or something related.

I agree it's The Loved One. Man works at pet funeral home in L.A., woman at human funeral home, he visits there and falls in love with her. There is a death, I think it might be a suicide rather than a murder.
