You're both safe from me this time as my first priority is the book I'm reading for GO WATCH TV which is on a two-week library loan.

I'm back on schedule for now, but I keep picking up other books to read instead of the bookopoly books....there are just too many books I want to read ;)
My husband is in the hospital, so my reading is lagging as well. If anyone lands on one of my properties, they are fair game as a couple of my books are due to be completed this week.
Like everyone else, I am running a bit behind on one of my books. Watership Down was to have been done today; I am 71% done. I should finish it this weekend.

Not to worry at all, Amy... Just take care of yourselves! Hope all will be well soon. xo

Finished my book. Off to pick another one.

I'm glad you are back on schedule with your bookopoly books!I better start reading my next bookopoly book soon, or else I won't make it in time! I have a few days left and havent even picked up the book.

Thanks, Lusie. I find that I really like this game for getting at those books I own but delay on reading. I have really made progress on my TBR through this game! Always a GOOD THING. :)

Yes, I agree! That is what I like about this challenge too. I even read some books I was unsure about, but put them on the bookopoly shelf anyway and they were really good. But lately I have been working on other challenges, but hope soon I have more time for this challenge again.
So, I'm sick... won't be able to get my reads done in time (Friday) & will probably take a week or so to get to them! Who's close to my properties? Time to make a move ;)
Dom is late with picking books for me on Frankenstein. I send Dom a personal message today. Maybe Dom didn't see my request for books on friday.

If Dom does not respond today, I will pick for you Lusie.

Thanks, guys... I am better but looks like I've given it to my youngest and hubby **sighs** it never ends :p
I was supposed to read A Storm of Swords by today, but I'm just 66% in, which is not much seen as the book has around 1200 pages! So, whoever lands on Black Beauty can claim it!
i'm failing again...lol! Oryx and Crake was to be finished by the 4th, but just come off 4 days of no driving, plus only limited the week before that - so i'm behind on my audiobook listening. I have about 2.5hrs to go and should finish in the next day. no one currently has any picks pending for my squares, but if someone lands on and finishes their book before me - i'll forfeit my square
Glad you are better, Tien! I hope the rest of the family gets better soon!Marina, that sure is a big book! I hope it is a good book.
Dee, do you often listen to audio books?
Lusie - yup - i have a 2-3 hour commute (round-trip) each day depending on traffic - its about 47 miles, so can be as easy as 45 min or as long as 2hrs...so i do a lot of audios
I just want to report that I managed to finished A Storm of Swords today, so only 4 days behind schedule. No one has landed on my property in the meantime, so I guess I'm allowed to keep it, right?Lusie, yes, I really like the series!
That's nice Dee. I can see how you can make a lot of progress on listening to books that way.Great job, Marina.

Yes, you skated through the obstacle, Marina. It is still yours.

whoo-hoo - finished Oryx and Crake - only a couple of days late - and perfect timing, I finished it as I pulled into parking at work today
***ANNOUNCEMENT***
We are going to finish this Bookopoly challenge earlier than we first planned. We will finish on 30 November 2016 to allow for the second edition to start on 1 December 2016 which in turn will allow for the main 2017 challenge to start on 1 January 2017!
I can't believe we are in the less than 4 months away from 2017! Where has 2016 gone!?!

In line with Marina and Dee, I was gone for an overnight to NC and failed to mention that I was running behind on The Saga of Billy the Kid. It was due 9/8; I finished it 9/9. Thankfully no one landed on my square.
Tien, 2016 sure is going fast. Good to know we will start a new Bookopoly edition in december. It is such a fun challenge.
I just rolled for my third move in this game and ended up Watching TV in Jail! Guess which book is my largest on the Bookopoly Shelf? My 1000+ page LOST book!
I am ending this game in good form!

Oh my God...really?! And I've read only half the pages than last year!! :(At least there is going to be another Bookopoly challenge and this time I'm going to be in from the beginning...
Charity hasn't yet reacted to my request for books for Pride and Prejudice. Does anyone know if she is out of town or something? On her thread I saw she is usually quick with responding to requests. I have send her a message yesterday, but haven't got a reaction from her yet.

UPDATE: My book is due by 10/8/16. I have another 433 pages to go in the next 5 days. I think I can...I think I can...I think I can.

I think I'm going to say I'm done with this round (reading wise) - take a break before we start up again...should I keep my properties or give them up?
that's kind of what i thought, but i'll give them up if requested...i'm just unenthused right now - bit of a reading funk
Keeping them only means helping others find book selections, and I am guessing that might not be very hard as everyone is probably feeling something similar on this game.
yep, keep your properties... it's not long before the new season (year?) of bookopoly to start. I won't be rolling any more either; just finishing my reads this month (I hope!)
Maybe I'll take a break too. I'll think about it. I still have 3 books to go, including a big fat one. But I think I'll roll 1 more time after this, because then I'll have read 40 books for this.

That's a good round number of books, Lusie!
Take a break, finish off some other challenges or better yet, read whatever takes your fancy :)

I have finished all my books and will take a break from this game at this time. Good reading to all who are still going.
I have finished the last book I wanted to read for this, so I'm now enjoying a break until the new Bookopoly starts.Enjoy your break, Bea!
Have fun reading your last book, Marina.
I finally finished The Fountainhead so I am officially done with Bookopoly 2016. Now on to the next...
