G.G. (ggatcheson) | 2491 comments Well I have received most of my books. I'm still waiting on Time Storm by Steve since while it came from Amazon, it wasn't sold and shipped by them. I have no date set yet. It only says by Dec 15.

(Got it! Forgive me for my brain fart. Today was my first day of chemo..._

These pitches were awesome! Hope I'll get to play next time.

(Good luck on chemo, GG.)

I'm definitely going to do something similar once I've got my to read pile a little under control.

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 2491 comments The thing with paperback and my eyesight though, I can only read them when it's sunny outside so with winter coming, don't expect a fast return. :(

I also have a few eBooks I promised to read too and got delayed. But I don't care, the books look great on my shelf and I still have room for many more on that shelf. Twenty three indies so far, twenty four when Steve's book arrive, and up to nine trad pubs can still be removed. (Yet I have three more shelves so plenty of space. If only I were richer lol.)

haha good luck with that. Mine gets bigger every day. I'd have to be a reading machine to get it lower. Yet, I'm genuinely interested in reading them all so what can a woman do but hope?

I wished I were like my sister. She can read a book a day easily. (But she doesn't post reviews.)

Assaph Mehr | 11 comments Hi G.G.,

If you love a genre mash-up (and who doesn't? ;) of Urban Fantasy, Murder Mystery and a bit of Historical Fiction, try my book: Murder in-absentia.

Why you should chose it?
- It's Urban Fantasy, set in ancient world
- It's a murder mystery, written like a hard-boiled / noir detective
- Given a fantasy world, it's still logical - and surprising!

It's 14.99, but I can get you a discount code ;-)

Cheers,
Assaph

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 2491 comments Please! please! please! Keep this post for my next thread. I may not remember by the time I'm ready again. I'm waiting after Christmas to do another of these. Amazon is too busy at this time of the year, and members too. As for the price, I will raise my max to 14.99$ next time so you will be in the range without discount code. So all his good.

In the meantime I added it to my TR list. :)

Assaph Mehr | 11 comments For you my dear, the offer is always open :-)

I'll try to post early next time.

Not sure how I missed this post...sorry I wasn't ignoring you!

Thanks for the encouragement. :)
I hope you do play! I will give a little more time for the members to see the thread next time. I was too eager to get my books before Christmas this first time and didn't give much time to people to add their books. :( Sorry to all of you who hadn't seen it, and sorry for putting a max price when I clearly didn't follow my rule. As I said, next time I will raise it to 14.99$ to give more authors a chance to get in. :)

COOL! I can't wait to buy more books. I think I found a new hobby.

As for the discount code... thank you but I'm doing this to help authors with the ranking of course but also with the little bit of money they get from the sale. A rebate would defeat the purpose. :(

message 65: by Assaph (new)

Assaph Mehr | 11 comments Actually it works out better WITH the discount code :-)

Simply, instead of Amazon it's directly through CreateSpace. The code simply splits the difference of the Amazon commission.

Of course, it then isn't registered as a "confirmed buyer" on Amazon for reviews, but I'm more concerned with getting the book into appreciative hands.

message 66: by G.G. (new)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 2491 comments Oh but that's the thing. I buy stuff on Amazon because I don't have to use my hubby's credit card. I use gift cards. (And I just got a 85$ card from a place I'm doing survey for, so this next batch will cost me nothing!)

message 67: by G.G. (new)

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 2491 comments Oh and also I get the free shipping for buying over $35 so that makes up for the difference in prices. Heck I also bought my own book to give to my sister who's coming to visit this week end. I could have had bought it at cost price from Createspace but as I said, no credit card need and no shipping cost.

True enough there. My sister has a copy of mine along with my Grandmother and my mom.

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 2491 comments eBooks are cool but nothing like holding a physical book in your hands. That's for sure!

Great surprise for me, Steve's book was in the mail today so I didn't have to wait on the 15th as they had said it would. :)

Steve's book
