My introduction: I'm Andy, a reader (though I'm not getting to read anything like as much as I'd like to, these days) and unfortunately not a translator.
My favorite book is (are) the Discworld series, though on a different day I might answer with the Narnia chronicles, the Lensemen series or even Andrea Norton's Catseye
I'm from the UK and joined to support Hannah as I think her excitement and delight over all books is something to be encouraged and nurtured.

I am looking for a Salvadoran writer to translate for my novel. I prefer a female or someone who has written from the female perspective.
This is due to the fact that Salvadorans play with language a lot & have their own specific vocabulary. (Not to say that they don't do that in other countries as I wouldn't know about that.)
My novel tells the story of the civil war in ES through the eyes of several people.

I'm Miriam. I write fiction in French and English, and I am skilled at translating French literary works into English, although as of yet I've published only an article of literary criticism and have not yet broken into fiction publication. I have a PhD in French Comparative Literature. My area of specialization is 20th century French Fiction and Francophone fiction of Africa and the Caribbean. I'd be interested in translating books from French to English. I am passionate about the art of translation and about making high-quality translations available internationally. I'm Mauro, I'm an Italian writer. I published a novel in Italy a few years ago and I decided I wanted an English translation. I must say it's not easy to find translators who can render a literary style in another language. I'm really happy with the way the book came out, so I'd like to mention here the name of the translator who accomplished the task: Jennifer Delare.

Ciao everybody! I am an Italian translator and I live in Philadelphia, where I study Publishing.
I am an advocate for raising awareness that only 3% of the books published in the USA are books in translation!! I give lectures and try to promote a more global approach to reading, based on good stories and not on geography.

I am Stuart

I studied a number of european languages in College and I would be interested in reading more to practice those languages and increase my vocabulary. Though actually the hardest thing is finding untranslated editions. Ive dabbled with some Irish books (mostly Kerry dialect) and Dutch. I also have some graphic novels in various languages though strangely they seem more intimidating. Presently I am mostly interested in reading Middle English literature (untranslated, in Middle English, that is.)
