Nika | 19 comments I love how you can go in to the story and earn points for your house and I just think its amazing. I'm amazed more people don't go on it.

message 102: by Tyra (new)

Tyra (bomdiatyra) Yeah, I haven't seen anything like it!

message 103: by Lalita (new)

Lalita (lalitaw22) | 5 comments I would go on pottermore more often, if I had the time. I'm waiting for the day we get a bogart or patronus. I do enjoy reading the backstories!!! A great site if you don't get the time for pottermore, is mugglenet.com

message 104: by Nika (new)

Nika | 19 comments I shall go check that out. And I do wish they came out with more classes like herbology or transfiguration, divination would be cool to.

message 105: by Nika (new)

Nika | 19 comments A little bit off topic but am I the only one who noticed that all "the good authors" (my favourite by which I mean) have a R or J in their initials? JK Rowling, JRR Tolkien, Rick Riordan (haven't actually read any of his books yet but assume they are all amazing), Rainbow Rowell, James Dashner. And of course not an actual real author but is played by Nathan Fillion, Richard Castle. Coincidence? I believe not.

message 106: by Valerie (new)

Valerie | 75 comments I love the show "Castle"!

message 107: by Valerie (new)

Valerie | 75 comments Harry potter will always be my book series. To me there is a book series for everyone and in 4th grade I picked up the book not even planning on reading it and 5 years later I'm so glad that I did. We grew up with the characters and they made us feel better on the days that nothing was going right.

message 108: by Valerie (new)

Valerie | 75 comments That's funny. My sister, who never reads, was going to read the first book (which she never did) so one night I picked it up off her nightstand and began reading it. I loved it from the day forwards.

message 109: by Valerie (new)

Valerie | 75 comments Cool :)

message 110: by Amal (new)

Amal hari | 5 comments I love the series.i started reading it when i was 9

message 111: by Kris (new)

Kris | 22 comments I love the series. However every time a new movie came out, I would always have to watch it with someone who never read the series, so I was brought along to interpret. Every three seconds, I would hear "Ok what's going on?" followed by "What just happened?" So I had to pause the movie every 3 seconds to explain it! When I didn'tI would miss half the movie and was like "well I could have told you what just happened if you STOPPED TALKING!" lol

message 112: by Nika (new)

Nika | 19 comments It's ok when I watched the deathly Hallows part 2 I was with my cousin and uncle and we were in the theatre. I hadn't read any of the book yet so my uncle kept ponying out the differences of the book and the movie. Now that was annoying!

message 113: by Emma (new)

Emma | 421 comments Seeee...that's why you read the books first.

message 114: by Valerie (new)

First time, second time, third time, eleventy first freaking time...who cares?

For me Harry Potter never gets old or boring. I can still read it and enjoy it since even though I know what's happening, it gives me the chills and I am so transfixed. Especially when it's raining, I like to crank up my AC to the lowest (which is only 16 degrees Celsius!!! It should be 5!) and bundle up myself in my several blankets and read harry potter.

That's heaven!

message 117: by Hannah (new)

Well you're looking at one or rather typing, which is probably more appropriate to a thread.

Tommy Tiger | 1 comments Diary of Harry Potter: The Nightmare fluid
+ -Chapter 1- +
This is the first time Tom Malfoy experiencing such embarrassing issue!

“You got slapped by that bookworm girl,” Crabbe surprisingly exclaimed (Normally, he is just a beyond caring boy but this time is seriously big issue.)

"And she even swore at you?” Goyle joined in the conversation while looking a reddish palm print on Malfoy’s face. At the meantime, Malfoy was applying an ice compression on his recently slapped face and let the two boys discuss about the issue that really made his heart sick.

"And she even cursed you.” Crabbe didn’t even finish hit sentence, the ice bag flying from Malfoy’s hand and hitting him right in his nose.

"That’s it!” Malfoy bawled, ignoring Crabbe, who was groaning, and a jaw dropping Goyle.

"Why didn’t you let us get her at that time? We can also get rid of Potter and Weasley!” Goyle finally recovered his bravery.

Malfoy looked at Goyle rancorously and didn’t answer his question.

"And we will be cut down 40 marks with contention charge, yeah?”

Goyle was stunned and the poor Crabbe was carefully wiping his bleeding nose with his shirttail. Malfoy continued

"She will be more severely hurt than me!”

Malfoy touched the palm print on his face, his eyes widening angrily.

...+*+*+...

Malfoy had written a letter to his dad and sent his owl to deliver it. The owl came back the next day with a small package. Crabbe and Goyle were curious to find out what it was inside. When Malfoy opened the package, he found a small flask with black liquid. He grinned.

"Nightmare fluid,” Malfoy said. "Whoever takes this stuff will have a nightmare and he/she will be so scared, they become weary for many days.”

I completely agree with everything you said. I love Harry Potter so much that I haven't been able to find a YA book that lives up since!!!

message 134: by Robert (new)

Robert Watson | 1 comments Hi, I just joined the group and wanted to get my first comment down. I agree with Kris about loving the scene where Hermione punches Draco but I also loved the scene where Harry jumps out of Hagrid's arms (when he was pretending to be dead) and ran away from Voldimort which started the final battle.

message 136: by Mariah Roze (new)

Mariah Roze (mariahroze) Just started reading Harry Potter for the first time!

message 137: by Panda (new)

Panda Mudd | 11 comments I am obsessed with this series! I just finished Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (the new play) and absolutely loved it. I must have read the books 2-5 times over the years!

message 138: by Ursula (new)

Ursula | 2 comments I absolutely adore the Harry Potter series, my dad started reading it to me when I was really young and slowly introduced me to more books as I got older. I have to say that the movies do skim over some details but they are also amazing. I can't believe how far Harry and his friends came from the first book to the very last one. J.K Rowling is an absolute genies! I can't believe how believable Harry, Ron and Hermione were and still are. I could read the series a hundred times and never get bored of it. I cry every single time Sirius Black dies and no one can forget Dumbledore's death let alone Dobby's. I don't have a favourite book because they were all so amazing along with inspiring.

message 139: by Esther (new)

Esther Jackson (ejjackson) I don't think anyone who have read these books dislike them. It is like you are in a whole different world when you are reading them. All of the characters are spot on and JK Rowling is the most amazing author in the world.

message 140: by BADASSBOOKWORM (new)

BADASSBOOKWORM (bookwormbadass) sorry I have a bias against harry potter

message 141: by Tessa (new)

Tessa (tdn99) | 5 comments I love the Harry Potter books, I came across it when I was like ten and I had to get a book from the school library. But it was Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, so I didn't understand what it was about. I then found out that my aunt and uncle had the books, and I read all the books during the summer after I came accros Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Since then I read it 3 times in Dutch and twice in English. I bought the movies too and I really love watching them. If I am sad, they always cheer me up. And that's what makes them unique, I think.

message 142: by Addison (new)

Addison the best everrrrrererrrr

Kat(Taylor’s Version) | 5 comments I read the series over fifty times in the past five years. Absolutely the best series ever created
