All i can say is .. Harry potter is life!! I adore the movies as well .. I think I've watched the first 3 over ten times each and I'm not even joking . You can never get sick of the wizarding world.
I have only seen the first two and half of the third movie...but don't get all worked up (lol, I do). I read the books. All seven!!!!!
Every time i reread this series i can find new clues leading up to the revealing of harry potter being one of voldermort's horcruxes. It was just so delicately yet powerfully written.
Ever since I started reading the Harry Potter series…EVERYTHING reminds me of it haha..does this ever stop? (x
I personally like the books better. I felt like they left out too much important details that explains the rest of the series in the 5th movie.
The fact that I have nineteen harry potter A3 posters up in my room pretty much sums up my feelings about the series. Honestly, they inspired me to write. However, I would have loved if Luna and Neville ended up together. They had so much chemistry..... I have their posters next to each other on my wall, I'm in denial. What is everyone else's favourite canon and mon canon ship?
You know something .. I always wanted hermione and harry to get together .. I know its strange but yeah .
J. K. Rowling said the same thing. She thinks she made a mistake of putting her w/ Ron. Personally I thinks she's better w/ Ron though.
Harry and Ginny? I don't know about that. But Harry and Hermione? Definitely something to think about............
I actually saw the movies for the first time this year cause my mom saw a post online awhile back saying it's all real witchcraft and stuff. Up until now I was banned from anything related to Harry Potter. (I'm reading the books noww so woo)
I always thought that the relationship between Harry and Ginny felt slightly forced.Since Ron and Hermione have been basically heading into a relationship since book 4 (where Ron is so jealous of Krum), Harry and Hermione could not be together. The vibe between them was more brother-sister anyway.
It felt as though Harry had to have a love interest so let's just pair him up with Ginny. So everyone marries into the Weasley family
Now that you say that i realize that's true. I think harry and Luna would have been cute though
Hahahaha everyone's a Weasly. That makes me laugh. I wouldn't mind being in that family to be honest. But I do agree... I never liked that relationship.
Where do I begin: Harry Potter is my love and my life. I read the first book when I was in first grade (my dad had to explain some things to me) and as I grew up, Harry Potter grew up with me. I finished the last book when I was in 4th grade, and I have been rereading the books ever since. I am now reading the series for the 17th time! I have watched all the movies and I participate in Pottermore, an online wizarding experience :) I can state some passages by heart, and I never get sick of Ron's complaining. The Weasley family members are my favorite characters (Harry is too awkward--especially with Cho *snorts*)
Harry Potter remains the best series that I have ever read (although the Hunger Games came close)
I love Harry Potter and it saddens me when people say "I didn't read it because it's long"
Who cares???? It's great!

No it's just they have like no chemistry in the movies, because Ginny's character isn't developed enough so the romance just pops up out of no where.
I love Harry Potter series. J.K. Rowlings has written seven books which were exciting, clever and meaningful. She has a very strong imagination, but what striked me most was her descriptions of the emotional world of the characters. Friendhship, love, jealousy, rivalry, loneliness, optimism are so cleverly and honestly portrayed, however the books became never didactic or boring.http://andariasmeni.blogspot.gr/
We all say we love harry potter, but what makes us love it? What has Rowling done to create this universe that we all adore, and can always go back to?
I'm not sure but every time when I open one of the books I automatically fall in love with it again and again and again.
I believe it's the way we connect to the characters. The way J. K. Rowling makes us cry when someone dies or how she makes us cheer when Harry wins against a battle w/ some version of He Who shall not be Named. We basically watch the students of Hogwarts grow up and understand their way of thinking even if it doesn't make sense.
I STILL LOVE IT SO MUCH! I am literally obsessed and they're still my all-time favorite books. I cannot even put my love into words asdfghjklWhat I do all day, basically, is making Harry Potter references. Good thing my best friend is as much a Potterhead as I am haha.
Ivy, I can relate to that. Every time we re read we always discover something completely new, fall in love with new things and find small surprises, we never knew were there
It's something that a lot of us grew up on. We have a special connection to the characters because we followed them for so many years and throughout so many struggles. We grew up with them and learned their way of thinking as they matured with us. It's that connection that makes us fall in love with them over and over again. (This is the scandal where I pretend to be part of the fandom - and while I am, I haven't had the same connection as you, unfortunately - I started back in March and I'm on book 5, but I wish I had picked them up sooner so that I could really hve the same connection as you guys.)
Felicia, I must say I haven't exactly grown up with the series. I was still quite young when I read them but it was after all of the books and most of the movies were out. At first I don't think I really connected with the characters, just with Rowling's writing. As I grow older I feel I can connect with different characters, like Hermione and her subject selections, and Ron with his desire to stand out. That is probably one of the reasons we all like harry potter. Every single time we read it, whatever age, there is someone or something there experiencing our feelings.
I have been watching harry potter ever since I can remember. It's not till recently that I decided to read the books, it took me a year to finish all of them and its not because I didn't like them it's just because I am a very very slow reader and I had read other books in between each one. I must say that before the books I hated years 4 and on. I thought they were boring. But after I have read all the books I regret not doing it sooner. There was a horrible time in my life where I didn't even like Harry Potter... I don't like to talk about this time. But now I have realized how absolutely amazing it is!!!
AHAHA yes when I was 7 I hated harry potter. That changed when I read the first book. It went from enjoying reading, and hating harry potter, to reading the books with a torch at night!!!!
I've always never wanted to see the movies when I was like 8...but then I loved the books and the first two movies!!!!!
I think everyone finds someone they can relate to in the books. We get involved with all the characters. Moreover, it is a well-thought-out world and she was never just winging it (You have no idea how many authors do that). No matter what other fandoms I may belong to, in my heart, I am a Potterhead. That's another thing. Harry Potter was the first fandom that I belonged to...
Lalita, that is an excellent point. I know that I read to escape reality, to try out different things. I read, hoping to find a character that I can truly connect with, so as to feel not totally alone in this world.
