Me too :) Edwin sent me this month's links last week and I'm intrigued to learn that there's an entire thread dedicated to the Plot Hole in Those Who Hunt the Night. I'm actually looking forward to it more because of that.

I was just reacting to plot holes in general - i.e., "oopsie!" - I have no preference either way unless it ruins an important part of the story...

I would not be happy if I read it and wasn't expecting one. It seems lazy to publish something without wrapping everything up. Knowing about it ahead of time makes it more fun to me for some reason.

I'm sorry, but I think I'm not able to finish The Windup Girl on time (or at all). It seems to be one of those books that I can't get a hold of at all in any level and unfortunately they end up in my abandoned pile more often than other books. Just something in the writing style and other things that tick me off in The Windup Girl, but I'm still trying to read it atleast, even if with not much success.

Thanks for the links Sarah (and Edwin)! I just got Those Who Hunt the Night from library and will start it as soon as I finish Fledgling, for another club. (Yes, back-to-back night stalkers!)

How is Fledgling? A friend and I were apparently born two weeks apart so we've started reading a birthday book together. This is one of our candidates this year.

I'm planning on starting Those Who Hunt next week. I may do audio because it's narrated by Gildart Jackson :)

I'm about halfway through and I would agree with brilliant. But I think I'm going to end up saying that about everything Octavia E. Butler writes because it has been true for me so far.

:) I do find it funny, I love reading your reviews and posts and completely see your point of view when you make comments on the books and obviously lots of your 2 and 3 star books are just mediocre books....however, if you give a 3 star review and it looks interesting to me...I rush out and buy it.

Lol! I don't blame you! I'm actually that way with Maggie. We like plenty of the same books but when one of us gives a one or two star rating the other is pretty much guaranteed to love it.

That one is a much loved book that I also had to eventually give up on. No matter how hard I tried or how long I spent on it, I simply couldn't get into the plot. It happens to all of us at some point. Even with highly rated books.

Oh good, I was just about to comment after 60 pages, that Those Who Hunt the Night seems like a well planned mystery with hints at a lot of research and multiple characters/timelines to coordinate so a big plot hole would be a surprise. I'm enjoying it so far, very atmospheric!

There wasn't an all encompassing Final Thoughts thread for Those Who Hunt the Night so I added one.

I also removed the thread for characters but left up the one for Plot Hole, so Michael can see there really wasn't one, the villain's POV since there's interest, and the historical setting. It's a lot of threads for a small read but it seemed like they were all interesting things to discuss.

I started The Dragon's Path a bit early and just finished it last night. Today I was reading the original spoiler-free thread and saw that there’s a pretty big unmarked spoiler in the last post, post #34.

I thought I’d post about it here since most people will probably come here for the links anyway and can hopefully be warned off. Then maybe after Sarah has had a chance to read the book she can see if she agrees that it’s a big spoiler and add spoiler tags?

So yeah, folks, I'll be happy to do a group read on The Fall of Hyperion and would welcome all members to participate, especially those who have read Hyperion but require additional incentive to read the next book (like yours truly).

Sarah, do you think it is better for me to make another thread since that one is spoilery? If yes, then when would be the best time? I am not ready to discuss anything before I start reading (June 1st), to be frank.
