Xoxoasia | 97 comments Ok, Nesta just annoys me. I know that she went to find her sister but still. It took her becoming rich again to realize she actually missed her sister. In the beginning, she acts like she's above everyone else which aggravates me. However, I did enjoy to see how much Nesta's character enhances Feyre's character.

To me, Feyre was the one who didn't realize that Nesta cared for her as much as Elaine. Nesta's personality is just more cold and closed-off.

message 4: by Xoxoasia (new)

Xoxoasia | 97 comments I can agree with that.

message 5: by Desini (new)

Desini Snyder | 346 comments As much as i hate to say this, i think nesta will be liciens love interest. Sarah said he was getting one, and i think it will be nesta, or maybe elain

message 6: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 128 comments Nesta hates the Fae... I am interested to see how this will turn out considering her own sister is now one of them.

message 7: by Desini (new)

Desini Snyder | 346 comments I think she will convert to pro fae. I would pay big money to see her lucien and rhysand in an argument

message 9: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 128 comments I think she will convert too... that why i'm excited to see how SJM goes about this particular storyline. I mean this book is about the same length of QoS, so hopefully this part will be included!

message 10: by Desini (new)

Desini Snyder | 346 comments Definitely, nesta had some huge growth as a person.

message 11: by Xoxoasia (new)

Xoxoasia | 97 comments I reread the book, but I still don't like Nesta.

message 12: by Desini (new)

Desini Snyder | 346 comments She is slightly redeemable, she means a lot to feyre. She would be a good person to kill off.

message 13: by Emma (new)

Emma Well that escalated quickly

message 14: by Xoxoasia (new)

Xoxoasia | 97 comments Even though I don't like her, I feel she'll play an important role in the next book.

message 15: by Desini (new)

Desini Snyder | 346 comments I know but it would make sense, i am not saying this because i hate her. She is important to feyre, she along with many others could be considered to die to move the plot forward.

Christa | 52 comments I think it's really interesting that Nesta could see through fey glamour as a human. I wonder l how well Rhys powers would work on her.

Hannah Desini wrote: "I think she will convert to pro fae. I would pay big money to see her lucien and rhysand in an argument"

I think maybe Rhysand and Lucien could grown on Nesta and overtime she won't mind them that much. Yet, back in Feyre's village the fae folk really are hated and have been despised for a long time due to the fact that humans were enslaved to the fae folk so I don't think that kind of prejudice can be erased so quickly. I would love to see a scene between Rhys, Nesta, and Lucien! I can imagine Feyre banging her head against a wall or rolling her eyes at them.

@Christa I think it is interesting that Nesta was not affected by fae magic. What makes me more curious is that it doesn't seem Feyre or Elain share this gift. I think that Nesta might have some fae blood in her and the genes were passed to her.

message 19: by Birjis (new)

Birjis Afroz | 122 comments I agree. There's a good chance that Nesta might die but Elain has higher chances. She's the innocent character whose death motivates the heroine to fight back.

message 20: by Maria (new)

Maria (mariajmorillo) | 60 comments Nesta is the oldest, right? And she doesn't seem fond of their father...I wonder if maybe Nesta's father is a fae...

message 21: by Hannah (new)

Hannah It would be interesting if Nesta's dad was fae....or mother

message 22: by Maria (new)

Maria (mariajmorillo) | 60 comments Yeah! I mean in the sense of Nesta's father not being Feyre's father. Like they're half sisters. That would explain why the glamour didn't work on her but it did on Elain

message 23: by Birjis (new)

Birjis Afroz | 122 comments I thought that too. It's Sarah J Maas we're talking about anything's possible.

message 24: by Natalia (new)

Natalia (ravenandthehawk) | 387 comments Has anyone noticed that ACOMAF might have give us clues to Elain's and Nesta's power?

ACOMAF (p.554)

Hello, sweet thing (Mor maybe). Hello, lady of the night (Feyre obviously), princess of decay (Nesta, not really sure). Hello, fanged beast (Rhys, Az and Cassian) and trembling fawn (Elain, perhaps). Love me, touch me, sing me.

That was the other half of the book talking to the hole gang and Feyre's sisters. Not really sure on the “princess of decay” part if it still talking to Feyra or Nesta like I mention before. On the “fanged beast” is obvious who that is but, what if Nesta is part of those fanged beast too? As she is shown to be vicious and bolt when it comes to subjects that involve Elain and her people. It's already confirmed that Elain is belongs to the Spring Court as she is Lucien's mate, so where does that leave Nesta? What do you fangirls think?

message 25: by Diane (new)

Diane (mystifiedswift) What if Fanged Beast is also Amren? And remember how Feyre painted the night sky for herself, fire for Nesta, and flowers for Elain? Maybe that's a clue since Feyre is now High Lady of the Night Court.

message 26: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 182 comments I think all of that was directed at Feyre. With her new powers they're all pretty apt descriptions of her.

message 27: by Natalia (new)

Natalia (ravenandthehawk) | 387 comments True, true, all true.

message 28: by Noris (new)

Noris | 574 comments I like Nesta, not like a sister but like a person. L.ike and elder sister, sorry, but she´s a shit. Like a person I understand, and I get her development. She´s kinda like Ansel. Ansel was so so so so sad, and lonely with the murdering of her family that she started so desesperatly to look for vengance and she turned her sadness in rage. Nesta did something similar. She, like the eldest sister, was absolutley astonished, disappointed and fed up with her father´s inability to stand up and fight for his girls, to rise and look for a way to feed his doughters, that she turned all her desesparation in a rage. I get it. Like Aelin once said, everybody look for different ways to handle their problems, some overcome them, some let them turn into rage. It´s not like she hated Feyre, it´s like "You´re interposing in my plan of making my dad look at us, look that we´re starving and dying just to see if he finally get some balls to fight for us"

This is what I like the most of Sarah, she give us real characters, with real psychological issues like all of us. By the way, I prefer Nesta than Elain, she´s so damn useless that actually annoys me. I hope some character development for the younger sister,

message 29: by Mirou (last edited Aug 15, 2016 04:25PM) (new)

Mirou | 186 comments Nesta is one of my favourite character. Yes, she is bitchy and horrible with Feyre but that's why she is so interesting. She is far from perfect and she is one of the most complex character. I look forward to see her development in ACOTAR #3 and how badass she is going to be killing the Queens and the King.

Just give me Nesta Commander of the Illyrian Female Army already.

Yeah I agree that it's all said towards Feyre. And also NESTA COMMANDER OF THE ILLYRIAN FEMALE ARMY SOUNDS AWESOME!!!!!!!!

imashamedofmyoldreviews (pleasedontjudgeme_ichanged) In the first book, I kind of hated her. In the second book, though, I really understood her and she wasn't even that annoying.
