I was looking for a different book through my library, but I am presuming Captive Queen: A Novel of Eleanor of Aquitaine will work ?

As will The Red Queen ( which will work for series for me too. I enjoyed listening to the first book in this series a lot more than I had expected, The White Queen, but my library doesn't seem to have the second one on a format I can download for free :(
I'm getting ready to start listening to The Civilization of the Middle Ages. I'm *assuming* this will be ok, but you know what happens when you assume. ;-) So, yes?
Elizabeth (Alaska) wrote: "That should work - don't get more than halfway before December 1! ;-)"IIRC, it's really long. There's NO WAY I'll be more than half by then, even if I start it today! And if by some fluke, I do, then I'll just have to find another medieval history book to listen to. Oh darn.
I'm going for the obvious :) and will be reading Undset's Kristin Lavransdatter trilogy, especially since it also qualifies for 20.4.

Yay, with this task I can complete one of my personal reading goals of 2015, and read all three books in Sharon Kay Penman's "The Welsh Princes" trilogy. I'm going to read the third book, The Reckoning for this task.
Happy Dance!
For anyone interested in good solid, interesting historical fiction, I'd highly recommend Sharon Kay Penman. She even has a fun mystery series set in this time period, Justin de Quincy series
In my librarian meanderings at GR, I stumbled across a series that fits this task and some of the entries would combo with Noel Noel. I don't know whether it is best read in order.https://www.goodreads.com/series/4959...
I'm hoping to use Incantation for this task. At the beginning there is a poem by the main character:"I thought I knew the world.
I thought I knew myself.
I thought I knew my dearest friend.
But I knew nothing at all."
- Estrella DeMadrigal, Spain 1500
She is betrayed by her friend about half way through the book and from there, everything takes place within a few days. So logically, it must all take place in or before the year 1500 ... is that good enough?
Don (The Book Guy) wrote: "Will this work? Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Pearl, and Sir Orfeo"Yes, that works.

You're not being ignored and should have an answer without your waiting too long.

We will take it.
Rosemary wrote: "Would The Quran work for this task?"I'm not sure how to answer this. The description refers to Adam and early Jewish and Christian traditions and stories in addition to what I understand about this. I have no way to tell how much of the book includes these. If you find that it falls mostly within the time period of Muhammad's lifetime, then it should work.

Read a book set during the Middle Ages (500-1500 C.E.) At least 75% of the book must take place during this time period.
