I can't decide if I should give it 3 or 4 stars. Some parts I really liked and others felt as if I have read them in another book. I will probably continue with the series, but would get it from the library instead of buying. The ending did leave me wanting to find out what is going to happen. Didn't care for the love interest between Cassie and Evan at all.

Just finished it and I too am undecided on what to rate it. I didn't like the entire book. I loved the Cassie parts and I liked Sam parts but the rest not so much. I listened to it on audio and every time it went to a guy talking I would zone out. I know not very good.

I just watched the trailer for the movie and I feel like I didn't even read the book. Like they should the different waves. I didn't imagine that when I was reading the book.

Another thing Cassie is 12 years old in the book. They say it a couple of times. In the movie she looks so much older.

Also in the book I don't remember her mom at all and in the movie they show her in the beginning?

I probably will like the movie more than the book just based on the trailer.

I really didn't like the whole love interest thing between Cassie and Evan. Could have done without that completely. Other than that I did enjoy the book even though it reminded me of The Host in parts. I probably won't see the movie, I am not much of a movie person anyways.

Cassie was only 12 years old. Yup love interest didn't work. Too young! The actress looks so much older than 12. I didn't read the host but I do own the book.
