While there is quite a few adjustments from the original group, I think a good start is with the name. Should we maintain the name "Once upon a curse" or use something else?

Alternatively, I've thought about using "Descendants" or "Happily never after". I am up for any suggestions!

I like the idea of incorporating Happily Never After, but personally I have to many issues with Descendants to incorporate that as well.

As for the name I like it. It's original though gives a good idea of what the group is about.

Well, now that I think about it than the name "Descendants" might actually confuse those who saw the movie with that title.

You're right, it might be better to keep the original name, as to avoid confusing people in regards to the plot-line.

Another minor inquiry; Should the group description be altered/rewritten?

Alrighty. In terms of the descendants themselves, as some people had pointed out in the duration of the original group, curses/gifts didn't always match the fairy tale. So, I think I'll be swapping a lot of those around.

To help people keep better track of claims, I'll probably add a listing of taken characters actually within in the "claim list", separate from the thread containing an explanation of curses and gifts.

Do you think the limit per character decedents should be changed?

Yes I think that's a good idea considering some curses just don't make sense. However some work very well.

No I think the limit is good. Though you could have it if someone specifically requests a fully claimed descendant we could allow one or two extras.

Yes, like the one you did. Your method was a lot less confusing for people, than the way I originally had it XD Pretty sure I even confused myself.

I'll look over the curse/gift list, and see which characters have ones that actually relate to them, and I'll work on changing the others ones tomorrow.

So I read through the group discussion, I'm making one that is taking that base though adding a bit more to it because right now I feel like it's quite underdeveloped. Though you can choose between using my version or if you'd like to revamp it yourself/keep it the same that's cool too ^^

If you don't mind keeping track for that list, I'd appreciate it. I'm not the best at it, I always somehow end up forgetting or misspelling names.

As long as the basic group-elements are present, than I'm perfectly fine with you revising it. Hopefully, a new one might catch the attention of more Rpers.

I would be more than happy to help with some of the curses and gifts being more accurate? I actually almost made a group like this and semi-started on one but my confidence in making groups is hella low so it never fleshed out >~<

I think the character who actaully have the perfect combination of gift and curses are

-Lilly&Beast (Beauty and the beast): The curse being they become the "Beast" during the night (Alternatively, we could duplicate the story's curse, and have them be a monster until they find love) And the gift of predicting the future via reflection, as in the story beauty was given a mirror to see her father.

-Alice (Wonderland): Cursed with hallucinations, due to many versions having Alice think wonderland is a dream. Gift being the ability to shrink/grow, as Alice did when she drank/ate potions.

-Peter Pan: Curse inability to grow up, as Pan never did. And gift being floating/flying, as Peter Pan did in movies/stories

I know; I think when I created a lot of the pairing, that I was in to much of a rush or was unable to swap them since people already had characters. But don't worry, we'll find everyone better pairings XD I think we should start with the more popular descendants first, as those are the ones that will be in demand first.

How about you pick a couple of popular fairy-tales to work on their curses/gifts, and I'll do the same with a few different ones? Than we can share, and see how well they fit?

I actually liked the idea of the wolf children being anthropomorphic btw, if you wanna incorporate that into being their curse? forever stuck between the form of wolf and man or something? just an idea cause I had fun with my wolf boy XD

Yeah, we can keep that in there, like the wolf's curse. There's a few that don't require drastic changes, which makes our jobs a little easier. XD

Judging by how a lot of versions didn't allow them to be together, they should probably be separate. However, if you feel your curse/gift for them works better as a combination, than be my guest. I swear, they were always my fairy tale ship, AlicexHatter

What was Ariels original curse/gift? If you need a good curse you should do something with her human/mermaid form pain walking/lose your voice while on land/ turn to sea foam if on land too long or in water too long type of thing XD I'm basing those off the Grimm fairy tail version haha, the disney movie didn't really have any downsides like in the original tale

ooh! I forgot about her loosing her voice, good idea, I'll use that! Her original curse was being unable to remain on land or within water for long periods of time, without combustion.

Any ideas for the woodcutter's curse? (From Red Riding Hood) I gave him a gift already.

Hmmm....the woodcutter is only really there at the end of the tale to cut open the wolf.....so you have a lil freedom with him. You could give the descendants an obsession with wood? or an immense hatred of anything lupine like dogs and wolves and even stuffed animals in their likeness? like they have a near uncontrollable urge to cut them open or something? That might be too dark though...

Should I make Red Riding Hood descendants blind (In reference, to how she didn't notice the wolf was her grandmother, in a lot of versions), incapable of detecting lies, or with a goldfish attention span? XD
