What Science Fiction book would you like to see made into a TV series?

Riyria Revelations (Michael J. Sullivan)
The Miles Vorkosigan books (Lois McMaster Bujold)
Tigana (Guy Gavrial Kay)
...and oh so many others...

I think some of the Alastair Reynolds stuff could be done now... maybe The Prefect or Chasm City.

Your talking about a series staring Miles. You start out with Shards and Barrayar and its about his Mom and Dad. You start it with The Warrior's Apprentice and then you can go anywhere. After a couple of episodes you can have his "origin" episode, Shards and Barrayar.

"
Corwin has had so very many people play that role in my head since I read these in High school - a long time ago, before the Earth cooled...
Right now, both Stephen Amell or Josh Holloway have enough swagger to pull off Corwin. But Tom Hiddleston has been permanently cast as Random.

I think I'd start with "The Warrior's Apprentice" too...but, "Barrayar" as an HBO mini-series would be *epic* with awesome sauce.

For a show that would explore cultural differences, as much as space, definitely would love to see the Liadan series, the authors are still going in new directions with it, so could a tv show.
For something a la Star Trek, a show based on the Brainship series by Anne McCaffrey & others could start out with the plots of the books, and then head off in new directions, exploring new worlds.
What a fun mental exercise! Thanks Conrad!

Many movies that have been made from books just aren't able to capture the whole essence of the book because of time or financial constraints but would make an excellent TV mini-series.
For example Dune, Dragonlnace, and a gazillion others.
Not saying that they should be made into a visual format, but if they were which ones would you like to see.
Thanks for taking te time to read this.
Sincerely,
Conrad
