I'm sorry but I hope he dies because thats the only way Dorian and celaena can get together.
I don't want him to die simply cause I think he adds to Celaena's personality. He helped her in ways that Dorian just wouldn't have been able to I think
Nah... I think that if anyone dies, it'll be Celaena. And on her own terms.
Wouldn't that be ironic? The assassin dies...anyone else see the irony?
Not to say Sarah isn't bad assed, but no, I don't see her killing off any of the top 3. Just my thoughts.

I really hate to say that I have a hunch. I think Chaol might die. I can't stand the thought, but I feel like it might happen. Let's just hope it doesn't. I can't stand the thought. He's so perfect.
I actually think chaol is going to die or something is going to happen to him. In order for chaol to develop as a character something has to happen to him, currently he is overall way to weak compared to all the other characters in the book. I have a hunch that in book 4 or 5 something seriously bad will happen to chaol (and dying is an option)but I think after this bad thing happens he will go through serious character development and become a much stronger character (If he does die I think he will come back alive, I don't think the plot would go anywhere if we just repeat the past with chaol instead of sam)
Then again if chaol does it will kinda be history repeating itself (with Sam and all) and I don't think it will be a good idea to have that, because what good will it do? Celaena/Aelin already experienced this, and no one else will really care other than Dorian. Who already has something life changing/something that will cause development in store for him.

Don't worry girls, I don't think he's gonna die. I'm not Chaolena shipper anymore but anyway I admit they could probably end together... With all the kids Chaol want. If not, he will be ruling with Dorian, as friend or consul, don't know. Even if he's not with Celaena Chaol is important for Adarlan's future.
I agree with those think something major is going to happen to him. I don't think he's going to die though. That would just destroy Celaena. I think those two are endgame simply from lines from all three book so far. But, I think based on the changes Celaena has gone through (and other characters) that Chaol is going to be suffering some major pain in the future. I think he needs to learn to accept all of her and for that to happen he's going to have to go through hell and probably do things that he thought he wasn't capable of. I think book 4 or 5 will focus more on his character growth.
Also I think it would be good for him to temporarily be with someone else, if only to see Celaena get insanely jealous/territorial. I think we're going to see denial from both parties.

Choal has to help Celeana knock down the Towers and restore magic. I'm hoping that they'll get back together like in the sixth book. Choal also needs to save Dorian omg.
Chaol cannot die. I will throw an epic tantrum if he dies. I'll sit alone in the dark in my room and reread all my favorite Chaol scenes as I cry loudly. Wow, I sound really grim, lol!
Chaos killed? Hell no! He's way too important. Might give up on this series if that happens.
The only way id give up on the series is if Dorian died, but yeah definitely don't want Chaol to die either! That would be a huge loss.

CoM is awesome! I honestly can't pick a fave book in the ToG series.
and I think his death would be worse for Celaena than even Nehemiah's.
I've never loved Chaol but I like him as a character. In my opinion, he didn't fully mature until Queen of Light. In HoF, all he did was decide he would fight against the king, not side with Aelin. And to me, Maas did a brilliant job capturing a conflicted man's feelings, reactions, and actions. Everything Chaol did in HoF and QoS made him a more realistic, honest person. And I really like that about him.I think, after everything he's done for Dorian, he deserves a happy ending. Preferably with Nesryn, but I really don't give a damn. As long as he's happy.
Shit, literally ALL of the characters--except Perrington and the king and Arobynn and the Blackbeak Matron and Tern and Clarisse and Iskra--in this series deserve a happy ending.
Totally agree. He's one of the most realistic characters with his weakness, insecurity, doubts.. everything is so real!
Yes, I agree Umaira, I've never loved Chaol, but I want him to end up with Nesyrn, they deserve a happy ever after ! Maybe they'll get married in the palace.
Plus in like, the MAIN character group Chaol is the only one who is a completely mortal, normal human man. - There is Nesryn now too but you know what I mean, the main MAIN lineup of characters.

I have a really bad feeling about Chaol's fate. I dont know why but i have a feeling he's going to die courageously in some epic battle protecting someone else...
Chaol was a complete jerk in the beginning of HoF. I got so mad at him I basically just wanted Aelin to drive a sword through his head. Then he got better and I may have still wanted to punch him in the face but I did get truly sad when the king said he was dead. (Actually I was at school and I slammed the book on my desk. Everyone was used to it by this point)
I was sincerely relieved when he was alive ( thanks for saving him by the eye of Elena Aelin :) )
Basically sum of my feelings for Chaol through the books
TOG- well, he's okay I guess but I definitely do ship Chaol with her over Dorian. (Sorry my prince friend)
COM- diehard Chaolaena shipper all the way through and I loved him so much!
HOF- basically broke my heart by judging Aelin and then finally telling Dorian he loves him and then just disappearing. Heart broken
QOS- I wanted to punch him in the face, throw a dagger at his head, punch a sword through his heart, and other assassin like things. Then he honestly won my heart back only by being willing to sacrifice his life by going to save Dorian (my prince buddy) and we were in good terms from then on. I was mourning when I thought he died and then I had a celebration when he lived. I had a hard time with my feels in this book.
