Jordan In the book The Crossover by Kwame Alexander, Josh Bell is a static character and Jordan Bell is a dynamic character. The reason that Josh is a static character is because he does not experience basic character changes throughout the story. Jordan is a dynamic character because he experiences a character change at some point during the book. The change that he goes through is after his brother Josh retaliates and hurts his brother after he spends all of his time with his girlfriend. After he gets hurt he realizes that he was neglecting Josh and felt bad. Then he changes and becomes a better brother and spends time with Josh, and spend time with his girlfriend. In conclusion, the protagonists in the book The Crossover are dynamic and static characters.

Cooper I agree. I think that they are also foils for each other. They both love to play basketball, and are both great at the game. But, Josh is growing away from Jordan, and Jordan hates this. Jordan wants to bond and spend time with Josh. Because of this, Josh and Jordan are foils for each other.
