Eight to go - Year end Challenge.

What better way to end the year than a reading challenge!

This challenge is intended to help members read some of their books that are piling up to the sky during the last 8 weeks of 2015. Members are invited to clear the dust and cobwebs off any 8 books on their TBR shelf. If you’re not hoarding books but want to participate that would be fine too! Just pick a book a week to read with us.

The challenge will start today and end on Thursday December 31st. If you would like to participate create a thread with your name and Eight to go - Year end Challenge.

List the book you read in addition to any details you can think of including; how long you have had the book, where you got it, why you didn't read it before, or anything else you would like to add!

Have fun and get some of those old books read!

No problem! I could use the motivation so thank Hillary for suggesting it! i just dug out 15 books ive had for at least several years

I'm underestimating. 4+ books from shelve. Due to 3 bookclub sit keeps me from my list

I would love to continue Harry Potter series as well as outlander series as well as dead awake by Erik Larson and the girl on the train. There are more but....

My Marine son is coming home for TG. Both sides of the family coming from TG through Sunday. Lots of cooking as well as hotel. Not sure 8 books. Hence my 4+

I'm in! I have a big stack of books that either my mother-in-law gave me for I purchased for myself at one point or another. It would be great to actually read some of them!

Oh that's so sad, only 8 weeks left of the year! Yikes! I'll try this one with my NetGalley e-books again, which I've gotten behind on. Again. lol

I'm in! I'm very behind on my reading goals this year so this will help give me a push. A much needed two week family vacation starts this weekend, but I hope to carve some alone-time for reading!

NetGalley is a website that gives free electronic advanced reader copies of books and you rate and review them! That's how I got the most recent Alan Bradley book 2 months before it came out! It's free and easy and fun! You request copies and either get approved or not and there's lots of Read Nows that don't need approval. It's http://www.netgalley.com!
