I finished up to Chapter 13. My heart broke for Aaron and his siblings. I wonder if I would also see them as a nuisance instead of an opportunity to show God's love.
I'm done!Couldn't put the book down last night so finished it.
So what did you think?
I did not expect that Aaron shot is mother. And Sarah's kidnapping was also surprising. I thought it was Moe who broke in to steal the money but didn't see the kidnapping coming.
What did you think about the social responsibility section?
Did you enjoy the writing? And the suspense? I think she did a great job. I really felt for Aaron. She has a way of drawing me in and not wanting to let go.
The suspense in this book was milder than other books I read from her. But still great if you think I finished the book last night because I had to see what happened.
What did you think about Craig? I didn't like him.

Hello Sarita,
Sorry I didn't see you were going through this book by sections. I really loved the book and had trouble putting it down as well! I want to respond to each of your questions

I did expect that Aaron shot his mother. He was always really protective about letting the other kids talk about what happened. Plus, there was that hint about "ashes to ashes". I also wasn't surprised to see Sarah kidnapped.
What did you think about the social responsibility
section?
I was really inspired by the social responsibility in the book and the whole idea of taking care of your neighbor.
Did you enjoy the writing? And the suspense?

Oh yes! I did enjoy the writing. The suspense portion was especially well done. She really got me to keep on reading it! I liked the love story part that is budding between Mark and...the girl I can't remember her name. I liked that part because it really makes you think about what love is and the right way to choose your lifetime partner.
What did you think about Craig? I didn't
like him.
I didn't like Craig either but I had sympathy for him. Essentially, he had to deal with the fact that his fiance had changed but he hadn't.
