Bailey | 6 comments Just starting up! The reflection of Harry Potter this early is a bit comical. Excited to see what she does with it!

Tamula But lots of differences, too. I'm imagining the Mage to look like Errol Flynn.

Bailey | 6 comments You can tell this is loosely based on Harry Potter. The further I get the more it expands away from that story. This is suppose to be a play on tropes and I can see that already!

Just finished Day 1 reading! I think it's really interesting so far. I'm not grabbed in 100% but I am enjoying a new book by Rainbow :) It's laid out differently than I thought it would be - I didn't anticipate so many perspectives.

Shannon Wheeler | 1 comments I'm wondering who Lucy is. Maybe I read too fast over a part that describes her. I'm trying to figure out her role in the story. Overall the first 12 chapters seem ok, but I'm not at edge of my seat yet.

I agree with the parallels to Harry Potter - makes me wonder what J.K. Rowling thinks of this. I will admit I went in with semi-low expectations of this book. I was one of a few that thought Fangirl was okay but didn't live up to the hype for me. I did however really enjoy Eleanor and Park. I liked her adult books too but I didn't love them. But I'm curious to see how this goes I wondered if she'd put on the relationship that was wanted between Simon and Baz in Fangjrl.

Kris (xokristim) | 7 comments I'm really liking it so far.... It makes me want to reread Harry Potter though lol. I think Lucy may be someone trying to come through the "veil" ? Just a thought.
