round and flat character/ dynamic and static characters

I think that the laughing man is a flat and dynamic character. Maybe he isn't dynamic and he was always going to save Sal's life but for us it was at least perceived change. Perceived change is a change in a character that we as readers didn't know but the character always was like that. I think that the laughing man is flat because through Miranda's eyes he was just a crazy homeless man that her mother wanted her to avoid. A flat character is a character with very little character traits whereas a round character has many. The laughing man is shown as a very round and dynamic character towards the end of the book.
