Tucker Peterson In the book The Maze Runner Alby is a foil character because he brings out the good qualities in Newt. Some examples of opposites in the two are that Alby is mean and cruel but Newt is the nice one and brings people up. Another example of how Alby foils for Newt is that Alby is not wise but Newt is very wise and always knows what to do. The last reason why Alby foils for Newt is because Alby is mad all the time but Newt is calm and collected and makes everyone else calm. It is important that Alby foils for Newt because if Alby didn't foil for Newt, Newt would not be as good as a character as he is. What do you all think

Luke That is a very exotic way of thinking, Tucker.

Tucker Peterson Thank u Luke

Cooper I agree completely, Alby's grumpy cruelness brings out Newt's cool, calm, collected and undertanding personality
