The book is about a guy who is in some kind of unspecified incident. He is hurt. He gets eight million pounds in a settlement agreement. He then tries to reenact things that he remembers from his past or current events. He feels this will help him be authentic. He feels like Robert de niro is as he watch a movie with him.he buys a house and hires actors for parts. For instance cooking, playing music.

Thats a bit hard. It is from approximately 2000 give or take 5 years I think. It was bought in a used book sale. It is just blue, a hardback real book with remembrance or something of the sort printed on it. I don't know if it had a dust jacket before I bought it. No illustrations. I think it is more literary fiction. It is very absurd and surreal. I've looked all over for the title remembrance but it isn't to be found on Amazon or here because it is a very common title I guess.... I've looked through 100 pages, so maybe I misremembered the name?
