Have You Read This Book?

I've read the first book and am just about to start the second. I really enjoyed the first book! I love that there are many POVs and stories throughout. If I got bored with one character, there would always be another one soon after. There are some heavy topics though so if you're sensitive, I'd sit this one out-otherwise go for it! :)

or any of the rest of the series? Thoughts?"
I've read books 1 - 4. And part of book 5. I thought book 5 was the last one so when I realized it wasn't I put it down until they all come out. It's seriously the never ending book series. There's no beginning or end. Just a never ending middle. But I must have liked it enough to continue reading them ;-)

What Brigid said!!!!!
What Brigid said!!!!!

I've read the first two books and really enjoyed both of them. They're very long, but the writing isn't too dense so it's not too frustrating to get through. There are also a lot of stories going on at once and it switches around very frequently, so it never really slows down.

I've read all the books that are out, they would get a little tedious at times but well worth it! I can't wait til the next one comes out.

I haven't read this, but I've had it on my to-read list for a while. I keep meaning to pick it up.

It does look good. I want to read it, too.
I talked about that one on the first page--one of my fave dystopian trilogies ever!! Liked it almost as much as The Hunger Games, just a fab trilogy!

I loved Legend, Prodigy, and Champion! One of my favorite series ever!

I gave it a 3/5. I was actually a little disappointed with Legend. I don't think it lived up to its hype...
It felt too slight...and the romance between Day and June just didn't work for me. However, I do think that Prodigy was quite a bit better.
Legend wasn't bad by any means, but it just didn't quite hit the mark. The action scenes were pretty spectacular, though! :)
I haven't had the chance to read Champion yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it all ends.

I agree, I didn't feel like it lived up to they hype either. I had a really hard time connecting to the characters in Legend. I haven't read anymore in the series. Not sure if/when I will.

I actually started to care a little more about Day and June while reading Prodigy...though I wasn't really shaken up by where the ending leaves the characters.

Has anyone here read The House of Secrets by Chris Columbus and the, tragically, late great Ned Vizzini?

The story sounds like something I can get into, but I'd be lying if I said the creators, both who I respect for different reasons, weren't a big time influence on my interest in this series.

I think he's a good choice for the part, too! :)

But now I can't imagine anyone but Dylan O'Brien. The casting is spot on.

The movie preview is actually what finally convinced me I needed to read the book. It was a good read. I'm not sure I haven't decided yet about reading on although I am curious to see what happens next.

I wasn't a huge fan of it either, Heidi. I thought it was okay at the time I read it, then it seemed worse in retrospect ... and I really didn't like the second book. >.<

Legend is one of those rare trilogies where the second one is the best. Great series overall.

I didn't care for the last one either but hope was hoping he left it open like that for more.

Always good to know I am not alone Brigid! I seriously think Chaos Walking really set the bar high for me when I am reading similar books - they have to be excellent to get my vote. I know I read Maze Runner after Chaos because I just read it a year ago or so, so that may have impacted me.

I think Irial and Niall are the stand out characters that keep me wanting to read the series completely and I honestly would have to re-read the first three...
The only one I've read out of those was Tent City. I also read the sequel, Red River. I did enjoy them! Really interesting concept I thought!

I haven't read Red River yet but I am hoping to get to it soon!

I loved the ending to Legend--I thought it tied up enough, but I kind of like things a little open ended so I can imagine what will happen. It does show us what happens 10 years later, which is pretty good for a YA book! The ending actually made me think a little of Harry Potter. Also loved that ending!
