What is your opinion on that they split Mockingjay into two parts for the movie?

I think that it was an absolutely marvelous idea!!! :)
If Mockingjay had only been one movie, it would have felt incredibly rushed, and they would have had to cut out many important scenes.
I don't believe that the movie makers split Mockingjay into two parts just to get more money. They did it so they good fill the movies with all the wonderful details from the book, and more!

I also liked that the movie was split into two parts. For one it allows more of the story being told other than just from Katniss's point of view. Allowing the audience see what was happening in other districts and what Snow was plotting, thinking and such. Not to mention other characters at the time.
When it comes to splitting books into two movies, it depends on the length of the book and what the director and writer how in sort for the movies. With Harry Potter it was necessary because the book was so long. With Breaking Dawn, I thought it was pointless. They could have easily made a two and a half hour movie with the whole book. Allegiant, unsure yet. Mockingjay it fits because more than just the main character's story was being told.
