Janel (thejanelliebellie) | 4 comments I read a book on kindle about a year or so ago. The main character was a young woman, maybe 30 or so, that wrote romance dime novels, lived alone (maybe had a cat? haha) and was miserable. She planned to commit suicide, had a date set, and sent a letter to all her family and friends the night she planned to kill herself. She used pills, if I remember right.

But, things didn't turn out the way she intended, and she survived. The funny part was in the botched attempt (she had several hiccups along the way) and the aftermath of sending the letters. Having to correct the wrongs she made by writing some hurtful (although funny) letters to her close ones, as well as her humiliation at having failed even at suicide.

The end of the book is with her falling in love with her new book editor. She no longer feels so miserable as to kill herself, and realizes the whole attempt was her searching for a way out of her sad self.

The book honestly was written well, and thought this is a sensitive topic to many, it was written only with the best of intentions (I'm sure).

GracieKat | 124 comments Dang it. I know exactly what book you're taking about but for the life of me i can't remember the name. I'll dig into the memory banks a bit. I remember it showing up in the kindle store.

GracieKat | 124 comments I have been looking so hard because now it's driving me nuts! I ferment setting it in the kindle deals thing so I've been checking that because a lot of times they list the books multiple times.

Thank Google. Glad we could help. :) Rather tricky as the original book was published in German.

Janel (thejanelliebellie) | 4 comments Oh that's an interesting tidbit! I'd have never known :)
