How do you get Amazon to notify the customer that your book be updated?

Thanks in advance

Martin Wilsey | 447 comments I didn't think they do any kind of notification.

Yeah, they don't. But they do push updates through!

Quoleena Sbrocca (qjsbrocca) It's a tedious process. You have to contact tech support with the pages on which you've made corrections and examples of those corrections. If they determine that the changes are significant enough, they'll notify customers that a new version is available for them to download, or they might send it to them directly. That was their policy as of a few months ago.

Really? Dang. I've edited all over my book. This will be my fifth edition and much has changed. Well, I'll see what I can put together.

Thanks.

message 7: by Christina (new)

Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) As long as you cite examples of what was changed in your initial email to support, you should get an email back telling you if they are going to push out a notification or not. Usually major formatting changes or severe editing will be pushed.

Yes, fiction. Fifth and final edition is in response to changes needed. I know it was risky making a sci-fi novel 137k words as the more you lay down, the more places for conflict. However, responding to reviewers comments and changing, I have what I want complete, and I will not be changing any more. I am satisfied that this will be the foundation for the next two volumes of the series.

Fortunately, Christina, I can document with details what was changed.

Thanks.
