Turbo Twenty-Three, by Janet Evanovich → Start Date: December 1st, 2016
Ok you are back east right? have you had TastyKakes? we don't have them out here, I had to look them up
Sara wrote: "Haha yeah we have TastyKakes. They're ok... just like Twinkies really."That is what I was thinking it looked like. Now I don't need to track some down and ship them in.
Haha
So I have one problem with this book so far and I'm not sure if it's because I've read each and every physical book...but I'm not feeling the narrator on this book. I do like her Lula voice, but for the most part I don't like her narration.

Finished. You really don't like the narrator? I like her a lot. Maybe because that is what I am used to, I have listened to every book. There used to be someone else that did the narration, I didn't care for her.I think that this would be a great tv series. They shouldn't have tried to go the movie route.
I finished this book today. It is her usual Stephanie Plum book and was as usual an easy read and amusing. Regarding Tastycakes we now have them in the Chicago area and it is a good product. I ate a honey bun because of Stephanie.
so I had to look up TastyKakes, the map shows that the closest state to me that has them would be AZ. I am thinking that they are not good enough to justify a road trip.
They're good but I wouldn't travel too far to find them. After eating the honey bun I should have jogged to Nova Scotia to combat the caloric effect on my bod. Not doing that again, even for Stephanie.
Haha you guys are funny. Yeah I don't think they're worth a trip that far.. unless you're already in the area.
I also think this would have (would still) make a great TV series. The movie just failed to badly.

I think that's probably where she's headed..because I'm sure there are a lot of people who just want Stephanie to pick already. However, if Janet wants to keep these books going for awhile longer then she'll come up with another way for Morelli to screw things up.
So I have to bounce back to the whole TastyKakes thing....My friend just found a place called Jersey subs (something like that) and they have TastyKakes! I will be purchasing in the near future. after 22 books it is time to try them.
Speed is the name of the game as Stephanie Plum returns in Turbo Twenty-Three—the thrilling, fast-paced new adventure from #1 New York Times bestselling author Janet Evanovich.
Start Date: November 15th, 2016
I have hopes that this will be the book! (probably wont but I can hope)Still on Team Ranger. I just don't like the way Marelli treats her sometimes.
Oh and I am going to try TastyKakes while reading this book!
Now that I found a local sub shop that has them. I was going to resort to Amazon if I had to During the Premonition series (really good books) I always wanted Twinkies and mac n cheese
I'll try to hit hold but no promises. Maybe I will switch books when I get to the end of the chapter instead of plunging straight through.
I need a TastyKake, they are not available in UT. But I think I may have found a restaurant that carries them. I will not finish the book until I eat like Stephanie and Lula.
I couldn't hold off. But I did have a meatball sandwich and some fried chicken. Still no tasty Kakes! Has she announced how many more books there will be in the series?
I know the movie was a flop but I think this series would make such a good series. It isn't even Stephanie that makes the series, it is all the supporting characters. Like Grandma! and Lula! I would watch week after week. Plus it would give me something to do during my year long wait.

Something big is brewing in Trenton, N.J., and it could blow at any minute.
Stephanie Plum might not be the world's greatest bounty hunter, but she knows when she's being played. Ken Globovic (aka Gobbles), hailed as the Supreme Exalted Zookeeper of the animal house known as Zeta fraternity, has been arrested for beating up the dean of students at Kiltman College. Gobbles has missed his court date and gone into hiding. People have seen him on campus, but no one will talk. Things just aren't adding up, and Stephanie can't shake the feeling that something funny is going on at the college - and it's not just Zeta fraternity pranks.
As much as people love Gobbles, they hate Doug Linken. When Linken is gunned down in his backyard it's good riddance, and the list of possible murder suspects is long. The only people who care about finding Linken's killer are Trenton cop Joe Morelli, who has been assigned the case, security expert Ranger, who was hired to protect Linken, and Stephanie, who has her eye on a cash prize and hopefully has some tricks up her sleeve.
