Hey Miss D. I think I saw where you got this resolved, but if you've got issues, do not hesitate to start a new thread or check to see if we've covered the topic before (the search feature works surprisingly well for a discussion forum). That way you aren't buried amongst the rabble getting mad at spiders or whatever we've moved on to. ;)

I just figured it was Kansas making up for all the tornado activity occurring more and more to the east. Kansas can't have its citizens feeling complacent.

Hey, we're more than just twisters. We also have high winds, horrible allergy seasons, the occasional prairie fires and, apparently, earthquakes. All your natural disasters in one state :D

(On the plus side, it does smell nice, here).

Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) Ya know, all this talk of Kansas got me wondering if Toto and Kansas ever toured together, so I looked it up. Apparently they're touring together next year.

They should have Scarecrow, Tin Machine and White Lion with them. Rainbow could be the opening act.

I think Kansas was last seen touring with Alabama. Grand finale was Georgia On My Mind. That really closed the show.

Why go with White Lion when you could have plain old Lion, the band known pretty much only to nerds who watched Transformers, the Movie.

And now where did I put my hairspray?

(Oddly, there's a Dio tie in according to their Wiki entry)

I didn't hate Unbreakable, but it's nice to see that someone else wasn't blown away by it. So many say it's one of his best and I can't see why! The only M. Night Shampoo movie I've seen that I liked it "The Sixth Sense". The worst was "The Village". Bleh.

M. Ray Holloway Jr. (mrayhollowayjr) | 180 comments I have been so disappointed in Windows 10. About half of the programs that I used don't work anymore, and I don't care what they say about "compatibility mode", it has NEVER worked for me. I'm thinking about seeing if my computer guru can put me back to Windows 7, where I was last happy...

message 275: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, I had Windows 7 and loaded Windows 10, and was disappointed to see that it put a layer of "user friendly" garbage between me and my computer. I've had to uninstall a bunch of useless stuff that cluttered the start menu.

message 276: by Christina (last edited Dec 08, 2015 11:11AM) (new)

Christina McMullen (cmcmullen) Windows 10 brought my computer back from the dead, so I can't complain about removing some clutter. Not like I don't have to do that with every new machine anyway.

F*@ you, Groucho Marx. That's right, f*@ Groucho Marx!

Sure, I love the man. I'm a huge fan of the Marx Brothers. But, I found a clip of Dick Cavett interviewing Truman Capote. Capote was trying to discuss the art of writing, but Groucho kept interrupting with juvenile jokes and unfunny anecdotes.

And the disrespect was deep. Jim Fowler* was on the same episode and Groucho kept talking over Capote to talk about the rat Jim Fowler brought onto the show.

*For younger members of the group, Jim Fowler is a zoologist and at the time was co-host of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.
