That is because there is an edition (ISBN-13 9780140297379) which was published by Penguin Books March 18, 1991. No changes made.

This is an obvious error. White Death is the 4th in a series that did not start until 1999.

It does appear that the 1991 publication date for 9780140297379 is incorrect. I have corrected it and the original publication date for the work.
