Yep the flute...im pretty okay at it....yeah the violin is such an amazing instrument! Yeah the bagpipes are good when played well...
That's the problem, Queen re bagpipes! A LOT of pipers either can't play well OR they deliberately make us think they can't play well.
The violin is a very difficult instrument, I played for two years and didn't make near the progress I had with playing the piano. It definitely sounds amazing, I agree.
"Refuse/Resist" by Sepultura. It describes stories of rebellion and revolt against an oppressive government as well as the militarized police they employ.
Well, it's kind of in the name. They're asking for their souls to be saved, they feel like nothing goes right for them and that they're alone. *shrugs* that's how I took it. Others may have a different perspective on it.It's nice to hear from you again Derek.
On My Own - Ashes Remain
(an amazing song for me, shows that we never have to fight on our own - that God will always bring us out of the darkness dwelling in us and will pull us through if we just let him. Put the pride aside and admit you need help)

I have heard that as well...its just such a moving instrument though when played in music...i feel like it just reaches right inside me and moves me...that sounds really weird...but im really affected by music.

Aaron(RetroSonic) wrote: "It's kind of sad in a way, too. I've always found it to be romantic."same here - it is sad...i feel like it's written about a couple who found each other 'too late'.
Paralyzed from NF is a good one. When you get all numbed out and can't really feel anything. (what most people go through all their lives)
"Wait and Bleed" by Slipknot. The story is a very old, unnerving tale of a man that keeps having the same nightmare over and over (I'm not sure where the original story comes from).
He goes to his bathtub, lights some candles, gets comfy and slits his wrists. Once he realizes he is dreaming, he keeps trying and trying to wake up. Until one night, while turning the water red, he realizes its no dream. So he simply waits ....
Derek wrote: "So, what's the story the song tells?"The ghost of Charlemagne, played n the video by the late great actor Sir Christopher Lee, is recounting the massacre of the Saxon rebels. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacr... and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlem...
A whole bunch of Panic! at the Disco songs tell stories a few good examples are: Build God, Then We'll Talk, I Write Sins Not Tragedies, There's a Good Reason these Tables Are Numbered Honey You Just Haven't Thought of it Yet, and (one of my faves) Don't Threaten Me With A Good TimeAnother could be How to Save a Life by The Fray
My previous post, which I have now deleted, was not on topic. ABBSgail, I don't think I've ever heard anything from Panic! At The Disco.
