Jacob Clink | 20 comments wrote this book to help dads feel confident, connected, and ready for the incredible journey ahead.

When I found out I was going to be a dad, my world changed. Fatherhood showed me the beauty of family and the strength love creates. I wrote this book to share that joy and to support other Dads.

Jennifer Carta | 12 comments Hi everyone!
I don't know if anyone will see this? But, I'm hoping so!

I just self-published and my book is just starting out! Would love any avid readers who love twisty, psychological, upmarket suspense fiction to review!
Here's a little blurb (it was super fun to write and I hear, super fun to read!)

WHAT HAPPENED TO ANABEL TAYLOR

A cheating scandal. A mental breakdown. A Hollywood betrayal that no one saw coming — least of all, Anabel Taylor.

Anabel, once America’s sweetheart, is caught on video in a compromising moment with Cody Quinn — her husband’s 21-year-old breakout star of his film. Now the footage has leaked, and the press is feasting on the fall of a 48-year-old actress who should have known better.

But Anabel doesn’t remember it. Not clearly. And someone wanted that moment to go public.

What Happened to Anabel Taylor is a sharp, emotional, and twist-filled psychological story about fame, fractured identity, and the terrifying blur between healing and unraveling. As Anabel tries to piece together what really happened during her mental break, one truth becomes clear:

She thought she knew who she could trust - she was wrong, and so are you.

Perfect for fans of Daisy Jones & The Six, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, and Gone Girl — this story grabs you and doesn’t let go.

Rocio. L.Conde | 1 comments I’m Rocio a passionate lover of all things Regency—where elegance, romance, and etiquette reign supreme! I’m thrilled to introduce my book, A Lady’s Guide to Regency Elegance: Regency-Era Elegance and Etiquette to this wonderful group.

This book is a heartfelt journey through the refined world of the Regency era, inspired by the timeless works of Jane Austen and the dazzling allure of modern period dramas like Bridgerton. Whether you’re captivated by empire-waist gowns, the intricacies of courtship, or the art of social graces, this guide brings the past to life with practical tips, historical insights, and a modern twist. It’s perfect for readers who adore history, romance, and the charm of a bygone era.
I’d love for you to join me in exploring the elegance of the Regency world! You can find A Lady’s Guide to Regency Elegance on Amazon, and I’d be honored if you’d add it to your shelves, share your thoughts, or even leave a review. Let’s chat about your favorite Regency moments—what would you do in a Bridgerton ballroom?
Looking forward to connecting with all of you!

Love your sense of humor. I'd like to be your friend. From reading between the lines, it seems you might be a perfect reader of my novel, The Moon Goddess's Smile. It is not a light reading--more like dark chocolate or savory type of nutritious food. So far, the fastest reader finished it in 4 days, the slowest one 3 weeks. So, the book should be able to keep you safe at home for a while.

The Goodreads giveaway for this book ended last night. However, if you would like to get a free eBook and give it a rating/review, you can still sign up the mailing list at my website: www.catherinewu.com.

I hope my book interest you...

message 2860: by Catherine (new)

Catherine C. | 3 comments Hello, everyone!

Would you be interested in getting a free eBook?

I'm Catherine C. Wu, author of the recently debuted novel, The Moon Goddess's Smile, a cross-genre of historical Chinese literature and Contemporary Women's literature.  Kirkus Reviews praises it: "An observant and emotionally authentic novel of homecoming... a compelling personal story shaped by history...characters are memorable... a distinctive voice...striking sensory quality..."  Independent Book Review gives it a starred review: “The author does a stellar job…interweaves ancient legend, myth, and folktale with the real historical events that shaped China and the Hong family) throughout the twentieth century…”   Readers' Favorite also raves: “. . . this beautifully penned novel captures the complexity of cultural duality with raw honesty and emotional depth down to the finest brush stroke. I was swept away by the world that Wu invites us into as the novel’s rich, atmospheric settings evoke both China’s traditions and Boston’s modernity with wonderful clashes…”

To promote my book, I ran a Goodreads giveaway.  And the campaign ended last night. It's an utter mystery what algorithm was used to pick winners among the 1512 entries. But when I browsed the winners’ reading profiles on Goodreads today, I had a sinking feeling that most winners had lighthearted reading palates in the genre of YA/Romance/Fantasy/cozy mystery. One reader posted reviews on seven or eight books in a month!  (To be fair, I’m guilty of wolfing down some books like that in the summers of my youth.) I wondered if they’d entered the giveaway solely based on the beautiful book cover.

My targeted audience is mature readers who enjoy Pachinko, The Storms We Made, The Tiger’s Wife, and Mountains Sing. This type of sweeping, immersive, multigenerational story, heavy in foreign history and culture, requires a little bit of chewing to extract the nutrients and savor a longer-lasting, international flavor.  Allow me to indulge in another food metaphor.  Let’s say you like chocolate, then, my book is more like an intensely rich Dutch Truffle cake than a handful of M&M candies.

The poor taste match is disappointing. What I dread most is that these winners will give my book a low rating without finishing reading it. Therefore, I’m going to run my own Giveaway for three days.  Hoping for a better match, I set up two requirements for readers to get the free eBook:

Please go to my website www.catherinewu.com and check out the book details.  Alternatively, you can search my book on Amazon, read chapter samples through the "Look Inside" feature, and check out reviews from real, verified readers.

Based on your impression of the book, if you think you’ll enjoy reading it and give it a positive rating/review within three weeks, you can sign up on my website for a free eBook.  I’ll happily send it to your email within 3 days.

Thank you for your interest in The Moon Goddess’s Smile!

Happy reading and writing,

Catherine C. Wu

Mehmet yeşil (conclusion) | 1 comments Hello everyone,

I’m Mehmet Emin Yeşil, a Kurdish author from Turkey and an independent voice in literature, now sharing my stories with readers around the world.

I’ve always believed that stories can build bridges beyond borders. My writing often explores themes such as war, identity, injustice, and conscience—shaped by my cultural background and personal journey.

My latest novel Conclusion is a literary exploration through ten different lives, each revealing a moral question that resonates with humanity:

“Were we ever truly good people?”

The novel has been published in English, German, Spanish, and Turkish, and is currently part of Amazon’s international literary competitions.

If you appreciate thought-provoking fiction that speaks from the margins, I’d be happy to share the first chapter with you privately.

Looking forward to meaningful connections here.

Hi everyone,

I’m Sam Stone — longtime law enforcement commander and author of REAPER – A Task Force Raven Thriller. I wanted to introduce my new novel to fellow fans of gritty, high-impact storytelling.

REAPER follows a Texas Ranger special operations team as they uncover a cartel-backed terrorist plot unfolding on American soil. Think Jack Carr meets Sicario — layered with real-world law enforcement and military experience. It’s fast-paced, grounded in authentic tactics, and built for readers who like their thrillers razor-sharp and unflinching.

I’d love to connect with anyone interested in the genre. Happy to share ARCs or just chat thrillers and tactics. Feel free to reply or message me directly.

Medieval Romance

🌸 A Glimpse of Love from “Kadashus” — Feedback Welcome! 📖💬

Body of my story:

In the heart of a vast, open field blanketed with wildflowers, Sir Geigel held Bruemerchy close, his strong arms wrapped around her as he spun her in a wide, joyful circle. The late afternoon sun hung low in the sky, a golden orb casting radiant light over the landscape, painting the world in hues of amber, rose, and soft gold. Wisps of clouds drifted lazily across the heavens, their delicate forms glowing with sunlight as they sailed toward the horizon.

Around them, the field danced with color—lavender, poppies, and daisies swaying gently in the breeze. The air smelled of blooming earth and sweet meadow grass. A nearby stream shimmered as it flowed gently over polished stones, its waters whispering a soft song that blended with the rustling leaves and distant birdsong.

Birds flitted overhead, their feathers gleaming in the sunlight—bluejays, finches, and doves, their wings catching glints of gold as they circled above the lovers. Some settled briefly in nearby trees, watching curiously with tilted heads as if nature herself had paused to witness the moment.

Bruemerchy laughed, her voice like a bell as Sir Geigel lifted her higher into the air. Her long hair flowed behind her, catching the light like spun silk. Her dress fluttered like petals in the wind as he spun her once more, then gently lowered her into his embrace.

Their foreheads touched as he gazed into her eyes, the sun reflecting in both their faces, making their skin glow with warmth and life. “I’ve never seen anything so beautiful,” he whispered.

She smiled, breathless. “The world, or this moment?”

“Both,” he said, before pressing his lips to hers, tender and full of wonder. The wind sighed around them, the stream sang on, and the sun continued its slow descent, blessing their love with golden light that seemed to promise forever.

If this moment touched you, I'd love your thoughts! As a debut author, I’m still learning and growing with every page. Any feedback, reviews, or even just thoughts are a huge help to me. If you’ve read Kadashus or are curious, I’d truly appreciate your support on Amazon with a quick review—it means the world. 🙏

I'm currently finishing up my fourth (I LOVE to write!) I am testing the waters to find some beta readers, so I hope I'm in the right place.
I write dark fantasy horror and the general theme in all my stories is 'other-worldly things happening to ordinary people.' I write about the supernatural, with a dash of religion/spirituality and usually based on normal, everyday folk like you and me. I usually focus on just a few characters, who of course become my friends. Shame they have to go through the things they do!
Looking forward to connecting to any like-minded people!

I’m here mostly as a reader, writer, and fan of great dystopian fiction. Looking forward to good discussions, book recs, and learning from fellow readers.
