Janet Maker | 2 comments Hi! My newest book is One Ordinary Hero. I was inspired by Joseph Campbell's idea that the myth of the hero's journey applies to all of us. I'm in my 80s now, and his idea made sense of so many things in my life that I wrote my autobiography from that perspective. The book has a message that I hope will inspire ordinary people, especially women, to build extraordinary lives.

Sarah Cunningham | 2 comments Hi everyone! Thanks for having me in this group! :-) I hope this is ok to post - this is brand new for me and I have just published my first children's illustrated book - there are 2 books in the series so far, with others WIP. (so excited!).

My intention is to craft stories that are a bit playful, but that also ignite young imaginations. The books in the series are designed to be fun, whimsical, and entertaining, but also educational. They are about a little girl (Lily) who travels the world with her Australian animal friends exploring cultures, places and some history!

Casey Hail | 5 comments Hello there,
My name is Casey Hail. I am an avid reader with favorite genres being Nordic Noir and contemporary romance. Some of my favorite authors are Jo Nesbo, Camilla Lackburg, Penny Reid, and Meghan Quinn to name a few. I have been toying around with an idea for a contemporary romance series for a while and recently pulled the trigger on self-publishing my fist book: The Follow-Up. I will share more about it in the appropriate channel for this group. My writing style is relatable, realistic, and heavy on the awkward humour. Thanks for having me in your group!

Casey Hail | 5 comments Hello there,
My name is Casey Hail. I am a new author and recently published my first book on KDP.

The Follow-Up: An Enemies to Lovers Romance

Casey Logan Hail

It is a small-town contemporary romance with enemies-to-lovers vibes. The story is set in Asheville, NC, with a dual POV. The characters I write are relatable, awkward, and flawed. There is some spice, but I like to keep it realistic. This is the first book in my Appalachian Ardor series and the start of a web of woven characters I have planned.

I am an avid reader myself Noir, crime fiction, action-adventure, and romance. I am always open to feedback and constructive criticism.

Happy reading!!!

Priya Singh | 2 comments Hello everyone,

I'm Priya Singh, author of the Book: Spaceship Soul: A Spiritual Connection with the Divine.

Spaceship Soul A Spiritual Connection with the Divine by Priya Singh
My book is a short journey of higher dimensional 5-D souls who want to help Mother Earth heal from the turmoil the souls in the lower-vibrational Earth are causing. I have penned down my true spiritual experiences; that helped me to transform my inner wounds and traumas. I have also discussed the karma people commit against pure-hearted souls and their repercussions.

It is available on Kindle Unlimited for free if you are interested. The genre is Spirituality and self-healing. I post below my Goodreads profile:

I would love to read the similar genre books. If you are interested, check mine.

Danielle A | 1 comments Hi there! I'm a huge fan of romantasy with a touch of spice and fantasy in general. My favorite tropes are slow burn and enemies to lovers, but I also deeply enjoy immersive, richly woven fantasy worlds. Always on the lookout for new adventures, whether it's through epic quests or heartfelt romances. I would love to explore other fantasy sub genres. I post most of my reviews on my Instagram @tomeshelf but plan to start posting on good reads.

message 2739: by David (new)

David L | 4 comments Hey Gang,

I'm new to Goodreads. I'm a retired lawyer living in Arlington, VA. I've been as busy now as when I practiced law for many reasons. My first book got good reviews but as a "newbie" I had to self publish. My current book is better and has gotten very good reviews so far but I would love for someone here to review it. The book, Separate Paths, is about two men with much different backgrounds who become bitter rivals beginning in high school. The first man becomes a successful lawyer and the second man would be described as a "badass." Months after the first man saves the second man's best friend's life he cross-examines the second man at trial. The results are shocking. There are many separate stories in the book. The common thread among the reviews so far is that the book is thought provoking and raises many ethical and other issues. If you can review the book please contact me at delkind8@gmail.com and I'll send it to you. Thanks.

Best,

Dave

Mary | 23 comments Hi there!

Are you interested in memoir/autobiography books to review? I am on a quest to get 500 book reviews and I could use your help!

You'll probably enjoy reading my story if you’re a Jeannette Walls and Esmeralda Santiago fan. My memoir is ‘When I was Puerto Rican’ meets ‘The Glass Castle’.

“Running in Heels: A Memoir of Grit and Grace” is the journey of a coming-of-age Puerto Rican girl seeking love and security with her difficult mother in an impoverished home who becomes a teenage bride to a ruthless man twice her age. She has her first child at seventeen and her fourth at twenty-two. Can she overcome insurmountable obstacles of poverty, racism, alcoholism, violence, and abandonment while hope is shattered time after time?

I wrote this book to show that contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to be a product of your environment. Your past does not define who you are.

If you're interested, I can shoot over a digital copy in hopes that if you enjoy it, you'd be willing to share an honest review.
