Happy to read books authors on here write but I don't really read digital content (I'm in front of a computer at work all day and want to get away from screens in my downtime) and I don't hand out four and five star reviews lightly (so I never rate my real-life friends' books).

I've started a historical fantasy series called Snows of War, with part 1 titled White Raven.The story follows a Conjurus--a race of people with the ability to control magical elements--being recruited into the OSS during World War II. Jay Loalin is an ice-variant of the Conjurus, and a former Antarctic explorer, whose father was killed during World War I, while using magic in front of a German platoon. Jay's first mission involves stopping an SS officer who had witnessed his father's magic 24 years prior, and was inspired to study the magic of both Conjurus and witches in order to create the perfect German.
The story, and the series as a whole, prioritizes character development while also bringing back the exciting feel of older adventure stories, taking the reader to fascinating faraway places, and extensive research was done to craft an accurate depiction of wartime events, real-life figures, and period technology.

Here is my review of Maria's book: Maria Bouroncle's book is well-written about her family's heartbreaking tragedy at the turn of the century. It Came to Me on a Whim holds the reader's interest throughout the book and is well-researched. While devasting for the family, it is a fascinating story that sheds light on the mental health and penal system of that time and how complicated mental health issues can be. Hello, readersI'm about to reveal my age. My first published work appeared as a programming language review in a 1988 release of the Atari Explorer. It actually sold to two different magazines at once. Thus I had to confess to multiple submissions. The nice lady editor at Explorer contacted the other editor and settled the conflict without problems. After that, I began getting software from both editors, each seeking my writing and review talents.
In 1989, I published my first fiction story in a local magazine called The Charlotte Spectrum. After several more published submissions, the Spectrum began listing my name as the fiction editor. I had nothing to do with actually editing any work but my own. Go figure.
Then I started programming full time. A terrible thing happened. I found that the programming sapped my creative energy. For years, the stories build up in my mind but lacked time to go on paper.
Ten years ago, the dam busted. I retired from programming and took up content writing as a side job. That worked well until those stories in my head started screaming for release.
I now write science fiction for myself and for the joy of any who take time to read the work. Problem is, I have no sells skills, so the books lay idol without readers of reviews.
That's why I here. I need readers and reviewers.
