Kristofor Hellmeister | 10 comments Alpha Grisham is used to authority. After years of being raised by an overbearing father, Tyler Grisham is now in command of his own vessel, The Mayflower. His life soon spirals out of control, however, when he crash lands on an uninhabited planet--UP-117. It is here Alpha Grisham encounters a being that takes the shape of his most intimate and most powerful memories, including that of his estranged wife, his domineering father, and that of his dead childhood friend. But, there is a memory that he does not want to encounter--a memory that begins to hunt him down.

Kandy | 18 comments Hi Everybody,
I am new to goodreads, and I am trying to become more familiar with the site. I am a new author, I just published my book called Love, Travel, and Volunteering Caring for the World. It is a diary entry travelogue about my volunteer and travel experiences. I volunteered as a nurse in Peru & Guatemala, with dogs in Jamaica & Mexico, and with children in Thailand & South Africa. I first started travelling & volunteering in 2017-2019. On each trip, I journaled almost daily for myself. In Jan 2021, I had a lot of time to myself, so I decided to turn my journal entries into a book. It captures what it was like living and volunteering in the various countries listed above. As well, my interactions with locals, the food I ate, excursions I did, and the many obstacles I overcame as a Solo traveller. My book is available on Amazon for 99cents, if you'd be interested in reading. I am looking to connect with readers and other authors who enjoy books based on travel & volunteering. Feel free to message me. I look forward to hearing from you :)

Isaac Nasri | 3 comments Good afternoon,

My name's Isaac Nasri, an author from Washington DC that's into science fiction/cyberpunk. I'm the author to Heart of the Scrapdog and to my latest debut cyberpunk novel, Into the Violet Gardens, which is now even available on hardcover. The novel, still mixed with cyberpunk themes, discloses about the dark reality about human nature and our modern society.

I do look forward to meeting many in this group and gathering honest reviews from readers here. It would mean much to me.

I'm a little stuck with reading the same stuff/authors! I love mysteries/thrillers, YA and contemporary novels. I've also been known to delve into fantasy when the mood strikes. I've been trying to read more diversely - more diverse authors and stories.

I would like to start reviewing! Reading is a passion and while I often suggest books to friends/family/coworkers, I want to start doing it via social media. If you're open to a newbie, I'd love to read your work and share it!

If you think historical fiction/ action & adventure with a smattering of romance might be to your taste, I could send you a book in exchange for an honest review (If you live in the US, otherwise it would have to be a PDF). Hi Kandy! I am very interested to read your book! I volunteered for many years with several social circuses. I travelled through Peru, India and Nicaragua offering free shows and workshops to different organizations, orphanages, and schools, so your writing sounds very fascinating to me. I like to read paperbacks but sadly it might be sometime before I get my hands on it. I live in Puerto Rico and there's a supply chain backup right now. In the meantime I am working hard to launch my own book, a historical fiction about the Welsh bard Taliesin. Maybe it's not your genre, but in case you're interested, I'd love to start tacking down some reviews. It should be published in the next month or two.

I am new to the group and I am about to launch my first novel, Taliesin, Chief of Bards. This is a historical fiction novel set in 6th century Wales and it follows the coming of age of the poet Taliesin, a historical writer with an origin story steeped in myth. I am aiming to make the book available on Amazon and IngramSpark. Please let me know if you're interested in reviewing! Phil Dourado (phildourado) | 4 comments Hi All,

I'm a first time novel author, looking for reviews for Love & Loss in the Time of Covid.

I've posted in the 'Authors looking for reviews' section of this reviewers' community here (if the link works) : https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

The novel is based on real life and is not as miserable as it sounds, honest :) .

It was written in particular for anyone who has lost someone they love, particularly, but not exclusively, during the time of Covid we've all been living through.

If you would like to review it, that link, above, should go to a bit more information and how to get a review copy (he says, crossing his fingers that the link works).

Or you can email me here and ask for a review copy: phil.dourado@gmail.com

Hope it's of interest.

Hi Sydney! Is your first book available for purchase yet? I'm also writing a historical fiction set in Wales, but mine is about Taliesin and is set in the 6th century. I imagine the last King of Wales was later than that? I am also Welsh on my father's side, I still visit family I have in the Swansea area (I'm from the US and living in Puerto Rico now) If I can get a physical copy of your book I would happily give you a review. As our subject matter is pretty close, I would be really curious what you thought of my book Taliesin, Chief of Bards, but I'd want to wait until it's finished getting edited. I'm excited to hear more news about your series!

Annaaa Hi, I'm Anel (or Anna) and I'm new to this...well actually I'm new to Goodreads and I'm a bit lost. I know that my profile would say that I've been on Goodreads for a few years but I've only been active these last few days so I'm still figuring everything out!!
Anyway, if you don't mind me asking, what exactly does this group do? I know, I know, I sound very stupid but the description was a little vague. Although it's probably because I'm not sure how groups work.

I know that this is a place for authors (and readers?), you see that's where I'm a bit unsure. I really don't want to barge in and if I'm unwelcome I'm sorry and I would gladly remove myself from this group :|
I'd just like this whole group thing thoroughly explained!! And besides, everyone needs to start somewhere!
Thanks!!

Hi Anna! I am new to goodreads too. As I understand it, this group is for authors seeking a review as well as authors and readers who are willing to give reviews. If you have a book, or are almost finishing one and want somebody to review it, give us all the juicy details and see who's up for reviewing the book.

Mike Taylor (authormiketaylor) | 1 comments Hello!

My name is Mike Taylor and I write for children aged 5 upwards.

My books are designed to be a bridge from picture books to novels.

I write for children because I know that somewhere, in a home I will never visit, a child I will never know may have some enjoyment and happiness that may not have otherwise existed. And I hope to help children's reading explode into the beginning of a lifetime of reading happiness.

I have a new book of 30 short stories for kids (and grown ups who managed to retain the sparkle of childhood). It is a collection across genres (fantasy, sci fi, modern myths and legends) and was published a few months ago.

I have another published a year ago and one more in the pipeline for this year.

Please message me if you would like to read one (or more) of my books through the eyes of a child.

Kind wishes,

Mike
